A Vampire's Touch

Chapter 23 ~•Alpha•~

"Grace stop!" Ethan says.

"That's it! I've had enough!" The man shouts and walks towards me. He balls his hands up and punches me in the face. Blood trickles down my nose, and I can feel a bruise already forming.

"Is that all you got?" I say.

He punches again at the same spot. A searing pain goes through my cheek. I hear myself whimper, and the man smiles in response. I hear Ethan shouting something, but I can't hear anything.

The man pulls his arm back for another punch when the door slams open. The man punching me turns and looks in horror. "I'm so sorry Alpha, I was just teaching her a lesson."

The Alpha at the door walks in and looks at me in complete and utter shock. He opens his mouth and says one word that changes everything.

"Grace?"

My whole life I have been living a fake life. A life that I thought was real. Then all of a sudden, at this moment something grabbed me and pulled me into a whole new different world. And at this moment, I then realize I have been living a fake life. I life filled with love, hate, lies and death.

I stare blankly at the Alpha. He has reddish brown hair like me, and bright green eyes, just like me. I stare confused at him.

"Who are you? And how do you know my name?" I ask.

The alpha walks towards me, his strides long and fast.

He stares at me, a bit disappointed. "Well I was hoping you would remember me, but I guess you were to young. I'm your father."

My mind goes back to when I snuck in Sir Williams office and he was talking about my real father, who is a werewolf.

"B-but my father died," I say with sorrow.

"I'm sorry to hear that. But I'm actually your real father."

"How," I ask.

"Let me first get you both out," he says.

He comes over to me and takes me out of the chains. Then he goes to Ethan and gets him out too.

The guy that was punching me looks guilty and leaves the room. I touch my cheek where he punched me, and to my surprise it doesn't hurt. I guess I need to get used to having super healing strength.

"I'm Drew by the way," he says.

"I'm Ethan, Grace's boyfriend," Ethan goes and shakes Drew's hand.

My heart does a flip and I blush at the word 'boyfriend.' He never told me this.

Drew begins the story. "Anne was young when we were together. When she found out she was pregnant with you, she got scared because she knew I was a wolf, and she was afraid that you might become a wolf too and rip her belly open," he starts to laugh. "But that would have never happened."

"Then why did she leave?" I ask.

Drew sighs. "She left because she didn't want you to be brought up with Wolves. She wanted you to live the best life."

"And that didn't turn out well," I mumble. I look down and I feel tears in my eyes. Ethan wraps his arm around me. I feel his warmth around me and I lean into his touch.

"Are you a vampire?" Drew asks all of a sudden.

I stare at him, not knowing how he found out. "Ummm, ya I am. How can you tell?"

Something flashes in Drew's eyes but it quickly vanishes before I can see what it is. "It's just, werewolves can tell if someone is a vampire and vice versa. There's this type of aura. Can't you see it on me?"
