Chapter 1: No Little Sisters Allowed

*present day*

Paisley was in the kitchen doing her homework. She was about to go into middle school she was 12 years old. She was a cheerleader and a volleyball player. She was also a dancer in ballet jazz and hip hop.

Not only that she was a great piano and violin player. She heard her brother Steve and step brother Bucky come in from football practice along with their friends. They were 15 now except Steve cause he hasnt had his birthday yet.

It was the end of the school year. "Steve Buck this came for you in the mail." Paisley said as she brought them the envelope addressed to the both of them.

"Thanks PJ." Bucky said

She rolled her eyes. She hated that name her name is Paisley Jo but Bucky calls her PJ. She went back to her homework.

""Dude! We got the gig!" Bucky yelled.

They all started to exclaim and ran to the basement. Paisley picked up the letter that Bucky laid on the table.

"Dear Mr Rogers and Mr Barnes.

We received your tape we like your stuff. We would very much like to hire Barnes&Rogers for the 4th of July show this summer. Please make a set list and start rehearsing we will be in touch."

"Congratulations." She whispered.

She heard them downstairs playing like she does every night. As she was about to go up to her room there was a knock on the front door. She opened the door to see Addie Jo Bucky's girlfriend.

"Hey..he is downstairs." Paisley said

"Thanks PJ." She said as she waved to her mom.

"Yeah" Paisley said

Paisley went to her room as Bucky was singing "Who's Crying Now" by Journey. She laid up there and listened to them play.

As she laid up there she heard them start up "Calling Baton Rouge." She laid there and thought it sounds off. She went wide eyed and went running downstairs.

Steve stopped everyone else. "What Paisley?" Steve said

"Yeah we are in the middle of something important PJ." Bucky said

"You need a violin player. I play..can I.." she said but was cut off.

"No little sisters allowed. Natasha is learning how to play." Steve said

"But I already know.." she said but was cut off again.

"PJ no..we said no little sisters allowed. So go back upstairs and play with your dolls." Bucky said

"Im 12 years old I dont play with dolls anymore. I hate you both no wonder Becca would rather stay with your dad more. You are nothing but a jerk!" She said as she ran away in tears and slammed the basement door.

She cried herself to sleep. Joe and Winnie came in around 10 from work. Just as Bucky and Steve were walking Natasha and Addie Jo downstairs.

"Boys.." Winnie said

"What? We were studying." Bucky said

"Yeah I dont believe that. You better be using condoms." Joe said

"Yes sir." Steve said

"Where is Paisley?" Joe said

"Um I think she is in her room." Steve said

Joe went upstairs to check on her. He saw her tear stains. He went downstairs and saw the letter on the table. The boys came back in "Boys.." Joe said

They came into the kitchen. "Why did your sister have tear stains? She was asleep what did you two do?" Joe said

"I dont know." Bucky said

"Steven Grant.." Joe said

He shrugged his shoulders. "You two better not have done something hurtful." Joe said

"Now why didnt you all tell us you did this." Winnie said as she held the letter.

"We were if we got the gig." Bucky said

"Well Congratulations." Joe said

The boys headed back upstairs they peaked in on Paisley. They went to their rooms and went to bed. The next morning Paisley got herself ready for school.

She sat down and stayed quiet. "Do you want to talk about what had you so upset?" Joe said

"No.." she said as she thought to herself between being told no she was not allowed to play violin and hearing Addie Jo for thirty minutes screaming James she was in no mood.

The boys came into the kitchen she dumped what was left. She left the kitchen and grabbed her back pack. "Im riding with Brooklynn." She said and walked out.

She wiped tears as she walked down the street to her friends house. She started to develop a crush on Bucky then he became her stepbrother. She knew that she had no chance with him he treated just like Steve does.
