It was the morning of the flights. Bucky and Addie drove down they day before. They stayed at Addie's parents do Christmas with them. So they met everyone at the airport.
Winnie had a surprise for Bucky. They walked into the terminal when he saw Bradley. "Bradley?" He said
"Little Brother..you look good..more grown up but good. Who are these two beautiful girls?" Bradley said
"Oh right..this is my wife Addie. You remember Addie right? And this is our daughter Chloe and she is pregnant with another girl. Addie this is my older brother Bradley." He said with a smile.
"Nice to see you again Bradley its been awhile. Can you say hi to your uncle Bradley Chloe?" She said
She waved her tiny hand at him. Bradley smiled at her. "Shes cute. Definitely takes after her mama." Bradley said
Bucky said "hey.."
"What? How you landed such a beautiful girl is beyond me you ugly ass." Bradley said
Bucky hugged him. "Its good to see you." He whispered
Bradley hugged him. "Its good to see you little brother. Ive been clean and sober a year and half." Bradley said
"Good thats amazing. Im proud of you Bradley." He said
Winnie said "Okay we can continue this homecoming at the gate. Lets go."
They all headed to their gate. After waiting awhile they flight was finally called. Paisley was waiting at her gate with her headphones in and her glasses on.
She seen her dad and Winnie after their flight landed. She had her blonde hair dyed a dark brown. Joe hugged her "baby what did you do?" He whispered
She hugged Winnie and Becca. She seen Steve and Natasha. "You look beautiful Nat. Cant wait to meet my nephew." She said.
"Oh look who has grown up so beautiful." Bradley said
She wiped tears. "And where have you been mean ass."she said as she hugged him.
"Around darlin. Its good to see you." He said as he hugged her back.
She saw Bucky and Addie behind him. She pretended like she didnt see them especially when she saw Addie's baby bump. She walked away without saying a word them. Steve whispered "whoa.."
"Ditto" Natasha whispered.
Joe said "pais.."
Bucky swallowed hard. Bradley looked at him. "What did you do to her?" He mouthed.
Bucky shook his head. "Not now we will talk." He said
They boarded their flight to Lake Tahoe. Bradley sat down beside her since their seats were together.
"What did my little brother do?" Bradley said
She forced a smile. "Its always her..that will never change Bradley. I told him how I felt to late. And 4 months ago I did something stupid and totally out of character for me." She said as she wiped her tears.
"What happened?" He said
"I kissed him he fought me to stop. I got undressed and he picked up dress and walked out. So I have been living in NY my aunt Sadie. I no longer dance or cheer." She said
Bradley pulled her in for a hug. "It will be okay sweet Paisley.." Bradley said as she laid her head on his shoulder and wiped tears.
Bucky looked back at them. Bradley shook his head at his little brother. Bucky looked down as swallowed back tears.
Paisley put her headphones in and turned up her music. She had "Stone Cold" playing as she fell asleep.
Addie was asleep with Chloe on her lap on Bucky's shoulder. Bucky was holding her hand wishing that he was back in South Carolina as happy as he was to see his brother.
Bradley knew more about Paisley's crush then anyone. He was the one that found her crying in a dark room at the church when Joe and Winnie got married.
They landed in California she got off the plane and went to baggage claim. She got her bags as she followed her dad to get rental cars.
Joe passed out keys to Bucky Steve and Bradley. "You can choose who you want to ride with girls" Winnie said to Paisley and Becca.
"I will ride with Bradley." Paisley said
"Becca?" Winnie said
"I will just ride with you and Joe mom." Becca said
"Okay well lets load up." Joe said
They all went out to the cars. "I love you Bradley be careful.." Bucky said
"Little brother I have been driving just fine." He said
"I know that. But you have her in the car.." Bucky said
Paisley slammed her stuff in the trunk and walked away. "Lets go Bradley Im not afraid." She said
Bradley cut his brother a look. They followed each other to the lodge office.
"I cant believe your sister right now Steve. I have never seen her be like this before." Natasha said
"I know. I have never seen her be like this ever. Even when I broke her favorite doll she didnt do this. She is really hurt." Steve said
"But then again I dont blame her for being hurt. It does something to a girl when that happens. It makes you feel like you are unattractive." Natasha said
"Yeah..dad said that is what Sadie told him. Paisley has always had self esteem issues but I think that magnified them." Steve said as he followed his dad.
"I know." She said
Bucky was quiet as he drove his rental car behind Bradley. Addie grabbed his hand "Are you okay?" She said
"Yeah..I just Im shocked is all. Part of me wishes that I had just told my mom we wouldnt come. But the other part of me is happy we did cause I have missed Bradley. This Bradley the smart ass wise cracking Bradley." He said as he interlaced their fingers.
"I know you have." She said
Joe got the key to the cabin once they pulled into the lodge office. They followed him out to the cabin. Bradley looked over at her.
"It didnt make you feel to good when he walked out. I know you.." he said
She wiped tears and said "yeah.."
He reached his hand over for hers. "It will be okay." He said as they parked in front of the cabin.
