I immediately jumped off of the kitchen island. My cheeks were flushed red and my heart was pounding.

"I-" Will's mom began, but stopped herself.

"I'm sorry mom." Will replied first as he hung his head, staring at his feet.

"How could I not have known. He's here almost every day. I- Will. You play football! What are people going to say!" I couldn't tell if she was angry or just in shock.

"Mom. I'm really sorry that I didn't tell you. And everyone at school found out about us today. They didn't even care! There's nothing wrong with being gay!" Will half shouted and half whispered.

"Can I just have some time to think?" She replied, not making eye contact with either of us.

"I'm sorry, Ms. Solace. I'll leave right away." I looked at Will, smiled, and headed towards the door.

"Nico, wait. I'll take you. I'm not going to let you walk over there for 2 hours." He began walking towards me, but stopped next to his mom.

"Don't do anything stupid. I love you." He kissed the top of her head and walked towards me.

"You should stay. I'll walk." I whispered, hoping his mom wouldn't hear our conversation.

"I'm driving you. We have this conversation almost every day." Which was a lie because I've been staying at his house almost every single day since we started dating 6 months ago.

~At my house~

"Thanks, Will. I hope everything goes alright with your mom. I'm sorry that she had to find out like that. And if we have to break up, I understand." A tear fell from my eye, but I quickly wiped it away.

"Nico, look at me. We are NOT breaking up. Okay? No matter what." He pulled me into a hug and placed a kiss on my cheek afterwards.

"I should get going." I didn't wanna be home.

"You're going to be okay. If he tries to hurt you, you call me. Understand?" Will's voice was stern now. I nodded at him and began getting out the car.

"Hey, Di'Angelo." He called for me.

I turned around to face him. He grabbed my face and pulled me in for a kiss.

After we pulled away, he flashed me a smile as I closed the car door.

My heart was racing as I walked towards the little shit hole I had to call "home."

Once I reached the door, I slowly unlocked it. I hoped he wasn't in there.

Boy was I wrong.

As soon as I closed the door behind me, he was on his feet and in my face.

"Where the fuck have you been!? You know what!? Don't even fucking answer! I've had it up to here with you! Go pack your shit and leave! You have an hour!" He shouted in my face. His face was visibly red with veins popping out.

"I- I have no where to go.." I replied, looking at my feet.

"I don't give a fuck! Sleep on the streets for all I care! Your hour started 2 minutes ago! Get to fucking packing!" There would be no changing his mind.

I ran upstairs and into my room. I rummaged in my closet until I found my old suitcase. I quickly began taking all of my clothing out of my dresser and shoving it into the suitcase.

I put a few pairs of shoes into a bag and shoved it into the suitcase too.

I grabbed a few other things and shoved them in too.
