Part 13

Eric's pov

I woke up to the sound of someone screaming and shouting and instantly I jump out of bed with my wife and run to the source of the noise. When I got to the end of the hallway I could see the door to Simon's room opened and Nicholas on top of him holding him down as he shouted and Amanda crying watching them.

"What the hell is happening here?" Julie asked rushing into the room to where Nick and Simon were.

"I don't know, he just started screaming and then tried to attack me and Amanda" Nick said looking close to tears.

"Shit" I whispered helping him hold Simon to the ground as he had an episode.

"Why's he doing this?" Julie asked crying now

"I don't know, but we need to get him some help" I said as Simon calmed down beneath us.

"Dad, Nick why are you on top of me?" Simon asked looking like he was confused and in a lot of pain

"Simon! What do you mean why? You tried to attack Amanda and I!" Nick shouted letting go of him.

"I d-did?" Simon stuttered looking between all of us

"Don't play dumb you knew what you had done!" Nicholas shouted storming out the room

"What happened?" I asked calmly as I looked into his eyes

"I-I don't know, I was in Afghanistan and now I'm back here" Simon said avoiding eye contact with me as he looked around

"I think you need to tell as what happened there" I said lifting him off the floor and putting him on his bed where Amanda was sitting

"I can't" Simon said

"Please Simon" Julie begged

"No, mum I cant so just leave me alone" Simon said shocking all of us in the room

"We are going to just give you some time to calm down and then we will try talking about this" I said walking out the room with Julie.

Amanda's pov

"Did I hurt you?" Simon asked after awhile of silence

"No, you were close but you didn't touch me" I said wiping away my tears as I looked at him

"Please tell me what I did?" Simon begged

"You woke up screaming and shouting and then when Nick came in here because of it you tried hitting both of us cause we were trying to calm you down" I said softly

"Why are you still here if I tried to hurt you?" Simon asked looking down at the floor shamefully

"Cause I know that's not who you are and there is something that's making you act like that" I said squeezing his shoulder gently

"Do you think I need help?" Simon asked with a frown

"I think so, I don't know what happened but something bad happened and it's making you behave differently. Simon just nodded looking back at the floor as tears rolled down his cheeks. "But you will be okay, you've got everyone by your side to help you when you need it" I added

"I should probably go and apologize" Simon whispered quickly getting up and limping his way out the room as I sighed.

David's Pov

"Somethings wrong with Simon" I said to Alesha as we sat cuddled on the couch watching TV

"What do you mean?" She asked confused looking up at me from my chest where her head was resting

"Well when we found, he asked us to look for a guy named Michael and told us a description of him and pointed and to where he could be, but when the others went to go look for him they couldn't find him in fact there was like no trace of him" I said

"Maybe he just got away" Alesha shrugged

"I also thought that but then when we were in the plane I woke up and heard him talking to someone and he said Michael's name and when I asked who he was talking to he looked to the side and quickly said no one" I explained

"Maybe he was talking to himself?" Alesha suggested not looking convinced at her own statement

"I hope so cause knowing Simon he wont say anything if it is something" I sighed and Alesha nodded before her phone started to ring, she looked down and quickly answered it

"Hey Amanda" She said looking at me

"Oh my god are you okay? He didn't hurt you did he?" She asked suddenly catching my attention

"What's happening?" I asked quickly, instead of answering me she just put the phone on speaker

"His brother and dad had to hold him down and suddenly it was like he had snapped out of a trance or something" Amanda said

"What do you mean?" Alesha asked

"Like he asked why they were on top of him and seemed genuinely confused about what was happening and when his dad asked about it he said he was back there and now he is here" Amanda said

"Amanda, did he say anything about a Michael?" I asked worried

"Yeah last night when I was walking to the room and he was talking to someone, he said the name I think once but I assumed it was his older brother Michael on the phone with him or something but when I got there he had no phone" Amanda said

"He did that on the plane as well" I said, "Does he get aggressive when people ask about what happened?" I asked pulling out my phone and opening google

"He isn't really aggressive but he did tell his mum to leave him alone and he keeps refusing to answer any question about it" Amanda said

"Anything else that's strange?" I asked

"Yeah last night when we were all talking he would stare off in the distance for a while and then when he stopped staring he stayed quite he also had like three bites of food and then stopped. He also got of bed in the middle of the night and snuck to the kitchen got some food, snuck back and when I asked him what he was doing he didn't answer me and ate he even passed me some food and told me to eat and wouldn't stop until I ate" Amanda said

"That's sounds a little terrifying" Alesha said frowning

"It was, something about his eyes were different. Its not like the same man I knew before he left" Amanda said

"Do think it could be PTSD?" I asked looking at my phone after googling some symptoms

"Maybe, we don't know what he went through there but its definitely affecting him.
