Shuichi loves to rant and talk about books. Kokichi finds it boring, and tells him so, but that doesn't stop him from rambling. It's rather cute, because he tends to make these obscure hand gestures and once smack himself in the face. It's adorable.
Once, when Shuichi actually stopped when Kokichi told him to, Kokichi panicked and brought up one of Shuichi's least favorite books, trying to make him speak again. It didn't work, until Kokichi said that the pairing in the worst book was probably the best relationship ever. Despite his determination to stay quiet, Saihara just couldn't and back to rambling he went.
