Evan's POV

"ARGHHH!" I groaned in frustation.
I was studying for exams and I was REALLY tired.
Like I could really use a 5-year nap right now.
I was about to shut my eyes until I noticed a figure hovering over me.
It was my roommate, Justin Laboy.
"Yo evan!, Are you like good? It seems like youre about to die." He said while shaking me.

"Im just really tired.." I yawned.
"Maybe I'll do it tomorrow..."

"But arent your exams are like i dont know..2 days from now?"

"Oh bushes...youre right.." Welp..Im screwed.

"Okay..you know what? Why dont you get yourself a cup of coffee? Theres a cafe down the street. That'll wake you up in no time!" He grinned.

"Fine.." I stood up from the chair, grabbed my wallet and jacket and walked out of the dorm

I stepped outside and the cold wind was hitting my face.
I walked for a while until I reached the coffee shop, I read the name of this cafe.
Milky-way cafe. (Wow so creative.)
It looked pretty welcoming
I stepped inside and I was immediately met with the smell of fresh brewed coffee.
The inside was pretty cozy and cute.
There were a few plants here and there, The walls were painted with white & brown paint, and there was even a small chalkboard you could draw on.
I went to the counter to order.
"Heyya welcome to the cafe, What would ya like?" A boy behind the counter greeted me.
He had glasses, Brown eyes, and brown hair.
Hes kinda cute-
Wait what am i saying?..
"Uhhh...h-hi i would like a Caramel macchiato?.." (I have no idea ive never ordered coffee before.)
"Okie dokie!" He pushed his glasses back on his nose.
God hes cute..
I payed for my coffee and sat down on a chair.
After a while my order was ready and I walked out of the cafe.
That was a nice, I took a sip of the coffee and it tasted pretty good.
Definitely going back there again.

Jared's POV

It was another boring day in the cafe.
There wasnt that much customers cause its saturday, were less busy on saturdays.
The only thing im looking forward to is seeing that cute guy, Evan.
Hes been coming to the cafe for 2 months.
He always orders a Caramel Macchiato.
He would come here during Mondays, Tuesdays,Saturdays and the occasional Sundays.
Hes really cute and I wanna ask him out but im afraid that hes straight.
I was watering the plants that we have in the cafe, The only thing that was on my mind is Evan.
I suddenly heard the familiar sound of the door opening.
I turned my head hoping to see the boy of my dreams but I was immediately dissapointed since it was just another random stranger, I sighed and went back to work.

"-Boy you got me helpless!" I sang to myself while I was cleaning the tables.
"Down for the count and Im drownin in em!" I was too busy performing a one man show that I didnt notice that someone came in the shop.
"IM HELPLESS--" I felt someone tapping my shoulder, I turned around.
It had to be Evan.

"Ummm..I..UHH" He giggled a little bit.

"H-hey..umm..can I order?.." Evan spoke softly.

"SUre!" I ran behind the counter.
"Is it the usual?" I asked, He nodded and I started making his order.

"I like your singing..whats your name?" He said.

"Oh..thanks the name is Jared, Jared Kleinman" I gave him a soft smile.

"So you also like musicals?" I was a bit shocked by that question, cause I am a HUGE theatre nerd.

"Yeah..?" I replied while brewing the coffee.
His eyes lit up with joy.
"I like them too!"

"Really? Whats your favorite?"

"Dear Ben Platt.."

"OH I LOVE THAT MUSICAL!"

"Really? Who's your favorite character?.."

"Will Roland is pretty hot."

"Wha-?"

"Dude...Im gay."

Evan's POV

"-Im gay." Jared said while smiling.
Holy shit.
Hes GAY?!
Then that means I still have a chance with him.

"Oh..w-well thats cool..I mean Im Bi-"

"REALLY?!" I was cut off by him.

"Y-yeah.."
An awkward silence fell between us.
I mean I literally came out to a random guy.

"WELL I GOTTA GO BYE!" I was speed
walking towards the exit.

"Wait!" He yelled.
I turned around.

"Dont you want your coffee?" He asked while holding up a cup of Macchiato.

"Oh...yeah.!" I gave a nervous laugh.
I took the cup, payed for it and I started heading towards the door.

"See ya, Ev!"

"Bye Jared.." I said while smiling softly
I stepped outside and walked my way back home.

-time skip again: 2 months-

Me and Jared have been talking with each other for 2 months.
Hes really nice and funny and we even hang out outside of the cafe.
I sighed dreamily as I was staring at a picture of Jared I have on my phone.
He had a big genuine smile.
I wish I could wake up to that smile everyday..
"Hey Ev are we out of toilet pape- why are you staring at a picture of your boyfriend?" Justin came into the room with a bowl of cereal even though its like 9:45 PM-

"WHA- HES NOT MY BOYFRIEND, JUSTIN!" I mean I wish he was..

He cleared his throat and began listing.

"Lets see You always visit him in his workplace, You guys always hang out, You were always talking about how perfect he is, You two keep chitt-chatting on the phone late at night, You would always look at him with a love struck expression.
I could honestly go on and on..."
He stared at me.

"Hes not my boyfriend...I mean I wish he was.."

"Then ask him out, Ya stupid tree." He said while eating a spoonful of cereal.

"No."

"Cmon! JUST DO IT!"

"No."

"JUST ASK HIM OUT."

"No."

"DO IT ,STUPID PIECE OF SH-"

"No."

"Fine but dont go crying if he finds another man. You shouldnt throw away your shot." He sighed and walked out of the room.
I flopped on my bed.
Questions started swarming my head.
Is Justin right?
Should I ask him out?
Does he like me back?
Will he reject me?
Did Justin just quoted a musical on me?
Why the heck is he eating cereal at night?-
I looked at the clock.
10:25 PM
I should probably sleep right now but my mind keeps thinking.
Should I ask him out?
