Coaxing you in to crying

You slammed the door as you stormed inside making Ariana jump. "Y/n?" You ran up the stairs and Ariana turned off the tv before running after you.

She saw you sitting on the bed staring at the floor. She took a seat next to you and put her hand on your back. She could tell something had upset you.

"Talk to me. Tell me what happened." She whispered as she wrapped her arm around your shoulder. You stayed silent but your hands were shaking and your eyes looked glossy. "Baby, what's going on?" Ariana put her hand on your chin and turned your face, her brown eyes meeting yours. Your bottom lip wobbled but you blinked back your tears. "It's okay, darling, you can let it out." You shook your head and closed your eyes but Ariana caressed your cheek softly and your eyes fluttered open.

Ariana saw the tears in your eyes and she ran her thumb under your eyes. "I've got you, lovely. Just let it all out." You couldn't it back any longer and you broke down. You leaned your head on her shoulder and cried as she held you close. She moved her hands to your back and rubbed it soothingly as she whispered softly in your ear.

"Tell me what's going on." She whispered. "Just didn't have a good day. I got too overwhelmed and feels like everything went wrong." Ariana nodded for you to continue and as you did, she never let go of you.

When you finished talking she kissed your forehead and let her lips linger on your skin for a few seconds before she pulled back and swiped her thumb under your eyes to wipe away the last of your tears. "I'm sorry you had a rough day but you don't ever have to worry about crying in front of me. I'll be here to hold you every time, the whole time." You nodded and flashed her a small smile.

Ariana laid back on the bed and pulled you down next to her. You rested your head on her shoulder and closed your eyes. You fell asleep not long after and Ariana held you in her arms the whole time.
