Nico Di Angelo X Child Of Apollo! Reader Pt. 1

"Oh, gods, I am beat! Today's been so long!" Leo complained from beside the child of Hades.

"How can you be tired? You didn't do anything all day, dude." Nico questioned as he took a bite out of a few fries.

"Hey, all that nothing took it outta me! I had to keep myself entertained. Do you know how difficult that is for me to do?" the curly haired boy asked. Nico simply rolled his eyes before continuing to eat while idly chatting with the Hephaestus kid next to him. While they talked, the duo saw a bunch of campers heading in the same direction. Nico and Leo exchanged a look of confusion before they stopped Percy and Annabeth, who seemed to be going the same way as everyone else.

"Hey, Fish-for-brains, where the Dad is everyone going?" Nico asked as Leo got the couple's attention.

"You didn't hear? There's gonna be a concert at the Apollo cabin! It's gonna start in, like, ten minutes!" Percy relayed as he and Annabeth walked onwards to the golden cabin.

"Yo, an Apollo Cabin concert?! Those are legendary! Nico, we totally have to go and watch!" Leo enthused, jumping up on the table.

"I don't know, man. It's probably gonna be another one of Will's siblings playing violin or ukelele." Nico shrugged as he started walking back to his own cabin.

"Please?! I promise I won't bother you about anything else for a month!" Leo begged as he tried to prevent the raven haired boy from going any further.

"Mmm, as tempting as that sounds, Leo, I'll pass." Nico declined as he pushed his way past the boy in front of him.

"Fine, if you come, I'll buy you McDonald's for a year." Leo pouted.

"Deal." Nico agreed as he pulled Leo to the Apollo cabin by the back of his shirt.

"Hey, not cool, dude!" Leo shrieked as he was dragged along.

"Part of the fine print, Lavagirl." Nico told his friend, who huffed in response. Eventually, Leo was released from Nico's grip and the duo wandered their way to the unconventional concert venue.

As they got closer, they saw many campers from all of the different cabins. Some were standing and talking in small groups while others were sitting on a set of chairs set up in front of the cabin.

"Wow, this is actually kinda legit, huh?" Nico pondered, gesturing to the various people.

"Told you, Shadow the Edgehog. C'mon, everyone's waiting for us over here." Leo said as he led Nico over to the Big Seven. The whole group exchanged greetings and talked for a few minutes before a girl's voice rang out from the cabin.

"Hello, Camp Half Blood! Are you ready for a good time?!" The girl exclaimed from the cabin porch. Loud cheers and clapping erupted from the crowd.

"Let's get this party started! Ladies and gentlemen of CHB, please welcome (Y/n)!" The Apollo girl said, motioning upward before a guitar and drums began playing. The whole crowd began to clap to the beat as a girl stood up on the roof of the Apollo cabin and began to sing.

Nico couldn't believe his eyes or his ears. The girl on the roof sounded amazing, like no one he had ever heard before. She danced along the rooftop, never even stumbling as she kept singing. His jaw nearly dropped in awe as she continued the song.

The girl finished the song and took a bow before disappearing back behind the roof's edge. The crowd surrounding the Apollo cabin cheered and whooped as loud as they could, and Nico found himself cheering along with them.

"That was freaking awesome! Aren't you glad you came along, Nico?" Leo questioned.

"Yeah, uh, sure. I'll see you guys later, I gotta go... do something." Nico answered as he pushed his way through the crowd.

As the large group dispersed, he looked around for the singer, but he couldn't find her anywhere. He was about to give up and head back to his cabin, but someone called out from behind him.

"Hey, are you looking for someone?" They asked curiously. Nico turned around and came face to face with the girl that was singing on the roof.

"Um, yeah. As weird as this sounds, I was actually looking for you." Nico admitted shyly as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Trust me, that's not even close to the weirdest thing I've heard. I'm (Y/n) (L/n)." The girl offered as she stuck out a hand.

"My name's Nico Di Angelo." Nico responded as he accepted the handshake.

"Wait, aren't you that really powerful Hades kid?!" (Y/n) asked enthusiastically.

"Yeah, I guess am. How did you know?" Nico questioned as (Y/n)'s eyes lit up.

"You're a legend to some of the younger kids in my cabin. Can I get your autograph for a few of my siblings?" (Y/n) asked as she crossed her arms.

"I should be asking you for an autograph. The song you sang earlier was amazing. How did you even manage to do all that?"

"Well, it's not very hard when your dad is the God of music!" (Y/n) laughed as she pointed at the music notes painted on the cabin door.

"I guess you got a point there." Nico chuckled along.

"You're a pretty chill dude, Nico. You wanna come grab a snack from the mess hall with me?" (Y/n) asked, pointing with her thumb.

"Definitely. Maybe afterwards I can get that autograph to your siblings!" Nico suggested.

"Sounds like a plan to me!" (Y/n) giggled as the two made their way to the mess hall.

Before they knew it, Nico and (Y/n) had spent the entire day together, finding a lot of things they had in common. As evening fell upon the camp, the two were making their way to the cabins again.

"I had a really fun time today, (Y/n)."

"Same here, Di Angelo. I should probably get back to Cabin 7, though. I'll see you around!" (Y/n) called as she began to jog to her cabin.

"Wait, (Y/n)! Do you wanna hang out more tomorrow?" Nico asked before she could get too far away.

" Sure thing! Meet me at the mess hall tomorrow morning, ok? I'll meet you then!" (Y/n) answered, waving as she reached he cabin.

Nico waved back as he made his way to his own cabin. He got inside and placed his coat on a nearby chair before hopping into bed.A tiny smile made its way on to his face as he repeated what she said to himself.

"Tommorow morning." He whispered as he closed his eyes for sleep.
