I was informed that there are going to be 18 gyms in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield by GameInformer on Twitter and from other YouTubers including Adrive and MudkipMemo! 18 GYMS!
There are no 18 gyms just 8 gyms. Just take as a grain of salt.
