Niall's POV

I stared at the door and then back at Lillian, who was slumped against the door, eyes wide. Yet all I could notice was how good she smelled, like a wild growing Lavender, it's smell filling my nostrils.

I knew my chance to kiss her was ruined, but I still wanted to go for it. But I couldn't, she was engaged. Not to me, but to a lucky bastard who didn't deserve her. I scowled slightly.

"Uh-I-Uh.." I pulled away, scratching my head as I took a step back, away from her.

"Niall," Lilly whispered fiercely, her eyes still wide, "what if that's a reporter? I can't.." She groaned, her eyes sliding closed.

"I-I'll go check it out, go sit on the couch. I'll give you the heads up if it's safe." I watched her nod and slink around me, eventually landing herself a spot on the couch. Gulping, and with a shaky hand, I opened the door, expecting the flash of an accusing camera.

I was surprised, instead, as I ripped open the door, Louis and Zayn came toppling down into a pile at my feet. We all looked at each other in silence, until Louis decided to open his big mouth.

"Oh hey..we were just in the neighborhood..and...I don't know what I'm saying, " Louis squeaked out before just decided to shut up. It was Zayn who was the first to get off the ground, pulling himself out of the tangles of Louis legs. Louis was up to seconds later, with my help.

"Were you guys spying on Lilly and I?" I asked, my arms crossing over my chest.

"Pft, us? Noooooooooo, never. Like I said, we were just taking a stroll-"

"Shut it Tommo," Zayn interjected, putting his had over Louis' mouth. He pulled it away two seconds later, his palm covered in saliva. "Yes, we were spying on you. Louis saw Lillian come into the room so quick, and we got curious, so we took up encampment outside your door. We only started listening until we heard some mumbling right inside the door." Zayn said all this while pulling out some hand sanitizer from his back pocket, cleaning the spit from his palm.

It was Lilly who spoke next, "So you think you guys can just spy on people?" When I turned around, her face was as red as a tomato.

"Yeah love!" Louis squealed with excitement.

"Louis!" Zayn and I both yelled at the same time.

"Well, I know when I'm not welcome!" And with that, Louis squeezed past Zayn and darted down the hallway. I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Technically, we were just curious as to why Niall had a girl in his room, much less a girl who is engaged to another man." He retorted. The look on Lilly's gaping face was priceless. But that face turned from a flash of scary anger to collected and calm.

"You know, I think it's best I just leave. I'll talk to you later Niall." I watched her wrap her coat around her shoulders and push out past Zayn.

We just looked at each other, no one saying anything until we heard the ding of the elevator closing,

"What were you thinking man? She's engaged." Zayn asked, and stated.

"I was thinking I found my Princess" I replied, looking down at my feet.

Lilly's POV

The elevator was empty, the only sound of life was my deep breaths. I could still feel the warmth of his own breaths against my mouth. The feeling of electricity as our lips neared, almost being pulled together as if it was meant to be.

As I road down the floors, the little ring alerting me each floor I passed, I couldn't help but wondering what life would have been like if I hadn't said yes to Blake's proposal.

I could do whatever I wanted, be who I wanted. I could not have to worry about the wedding plans. Not have to worry about my Mother constantly being on my back. Whom I am seen with in public. It would all be okay. And if I hadn't gotten engaged..I could be with Niall.

He reminded me, in a lot of ways, of the Prince saving Belle from the arms of Guston. Was Blake really my Guston? Biting my lip,  I watched as it it dinged, alerting me that I was at the ground floor.

The door opened, and my breath was caught in my throat. I froze, just like earlier.

Niall's POV

"Go and get her then." Zayn spoke, his arms cross over his chest, his eyes glistening in the dim light of the room.

I nodded, smiling, and walked around him, out the door.

The elevator would take to long, so I ran as fast as I could, flying down the stair well to the first floor.

As I stepped into the lobby, no one was around, only the clerk behind the front desk. I watched as the elevator came down to its last stop. I prayed as I ran to it, she would be there.

The moments that ticked by took forever as I waited for the door to slid open. My smile only growing as I saw it was her. She was there, waiting.

I stepped in, pressing the close doors button. As they slid close behind me, I stepped towards her, eliminating the space between us. I could almost feel my heart about to rip out of my chest.

"Lilly, you're my princess. I found you. And I'm not going to let you live your life with a man who doesn't deserve you. I deserve you. We deserve each other."

I didn't give her a chance to reply, I just leaned forward and clashed our lips together.
