The sun shone down on both boys as they lazily rested on their picnic blanket, basking in the warmth that radiated down from high above in the sky. The birds chirped happily in the background and little kids screamed and giggled with joy as they ran around on sugar highs, their parents watching on lovingly from their spots on park benches.
Jisung was laying on his back, head resting on his arms with his eyes closed. Enveloped in a cozy warmth that wasn't too hot, but not too cold; just right. A white patch over his right eye where Oscar had released his fist a couple days earlier. The bruise was a painful purple, so to avoid stares, he covered it up.
Jeno sat leant against a tree, legs crossed as he read a book. Sunglasses, mask and a cap on to disguise himself in case any student walked by and saw them.
"You know, if you really think about it, if I hadn't been so clumsy on the first day this term we wouldn't have met each other" Jisung piped up, and Jeno looked up.
The older put the book down and shook his head. "I believe that we would've found each other anyway, weather it'd been that day or another" Jisung smiled and crawled over to Jeno. Leaning up to kiss his lips.
"You're getting bolder, Park" Jeno smirked as Jisung pulled away.
"I guess you could say that"
The boys backed away, relaxing in the sun for the whole afternoon. Just enjoying each other's presence. Jeno had gone back to reading, and hadn't noticed that Jisung wasn't sleeping until he looked up and saw the younger boy admiring his soulmate tattoo which had definitely grown, so much so that it reached up his entire arm until it disappeared beneath the sleeve of his white tee and against his chest.
"Our bond is getting stronger" Jeno said, and Jisung looked up, a blush spreading across his squishy cheeks.
"Yeah, i guess it is" he replied. "Let me see yours"
Jeno put the book down and held out his arm for Jisung to look at. The younger took it and turned his arm around, admiring the ink that was spread across his arm, blending in with the tattoos the teacher already had decorating the skin.
Looking down at his soulmate, Jeno finally realised how much he truely loved this boy. Sure it was kind of strange, him being a whole lot older than Jisung. But, Jeno truely loved the boy. From his funny personality to his never ending clumsiness and sass that he always whipped out against anyone and everyone.
"I love you" he blurted out, and Jisung froze before looking up slowly.
"You.. love me?"
Jeno cupped his jaw. "Yes. I Lee Jeno love you with my entire being, Park Jisung" Jeno smiled.
Jisung blushed. "And I love you"
The two shared a kiss full of compassion and love, and together as one their hearts beat as their bond grew stronger and stronger, with each passing second.
