The show was just beginning to end. The boys came back on stage for an encore in which they played Safari Song. You were able to hear Danny's drum solo and the loud cheers from the crowd. You only wished you were able to see the boys on stage. Halfway through the show you tried moving your chair to the edge of your tent in an attempt to see, but it was no use over the crowd.

After the show was over and the venue began to clear out you started packing up some of the merch. Removing the t-shirts and hoodies from the wall and packing them back in their boxes. Occasionally you'd get one or two people wanting to buy a hoodie. I guess people forget how cold it gets at night near the ocean.

You waited until the venue was completely empty and gates were closed. Then you made your way over to the trailer to meet Jake, but not without taking some boxes first.

"I thought you weren't coming." Jake laughed as he grabbed the boxes from you and put them inside the trailer.

"Well I had to wait until the venue the empty. I couldn't leave the merch unattended." You laughed.

"Oh right. Well we better get back over there." He chuckled.

Your walk started off in silence until you looked over at him and spoke.

"You guys were great tonight. Well I should say you sounded great. I couldn't really see anything over the crowd."

"We'll have to fix that then." Jake smiled at you.

"How?" You questioned.

"How about you watch our next show from the side of the stage?"

"I can't. I have to stay at the merch tent." As amazing as that sounded you were hired to work, and you didn't want to ruin it.

"Don't worry about that. We could easily get someone to cover for you. Everyone deserves a night off."

"I guess that's a yes then." You smiled back at Jake.

You and Jake spent the next hour taking down all the merch and walking it back over to the trailer. It was nice to finally have someone to talk to. You've been keeping to yourself a lot for this first week. Jake told you about the band, how they started and where the name came from. You on the other hand talked about your parents and how they weren't happy that you chose to do this instead of going to college.

Eventually you finished putting everything away and the two of you were left standing where you had met earlier today.

"Thanks again for all the help today. It really makes things go faster when there's two sets of hands."

"It's no problem at all." Jake smiled at you.

It was quiet for a moment. Not a heavy uncomfortable silence but a peaceful one.

"Do you want to come back to our bus? The guys won't be back for at least another hour if not longer." Jake looked down at the ground as he spoke almost as if he seemed nervous, which you highly doubted. He's Jake Kiszka after all.

You thought for a moment before answering. You weren't normally the type of person to go off with guys but for some reason you felt safe here.

"That sounds great. Lead the way."

Jake led you across the parking lot to their bus. Once you were inside he gave you a grand tour, pointing out who slept in what bunk and apologizing over and over for the mess. After the tour was over Jake opened the tiny refrigerator in the front of the bus and pulled out two beers. He handed you one as he sat beside you on the small couch.
