#2 ~ Revenge

When the character Max is referred to it is Maximus. Nigel is the royal advisor from season 1 of the series. He wants revenge on Varian because he took his place as King Frederick's royal advisor. Season 3 episode 1

It was a beautiful and sunny morning. You, Rapunzel, Cassandra and Eugene had raced to the stables for an early ride around the countryside and open fields.

You all walked in. As your foot touched the ground, you felt something soft underneath. You looked down to see a heap of clothes on top of each other. A pair of black gloves, a blue apron and a shirt?

You and Rapunzel exchanged glances.
"Don't they belong to Varian?" You asked. She nodded and started searching for the boy. Eventually, the other joined in too.

As you searched inside the stables you felt a wet nose on your neck. You turned to look at the thing it belonged to and was surprised to see Max.
"Max?" You asked. "What are you doing?"

Rapunzel looked over at him.
"He can help us find him!" Eugene exclaimed. Cassandra rolled her eyes at those words.
"For once Eugene is being smart" she spat smirking. He rolled his eyes annoyed.

Through all that chaos, Max was already sniffing the heap of clothes on the floor. He was mostly focusing on the gloves. He sniffled the air getting up and galloped off.

You all followed and eventually stopped near a mill. Max had came to a halt nearby Varian's goggles. You reached down and picked them up, confused as to why they were so far from the rest.

You now looked at Max, who had his eyes on the wheat field. You looked over to see a man working a poor donkey to it's limits. The donkey looked over at you and your friends.

You walked to the fields fence.
"Excuse me?" You asked. The group of friends had noticed you had walked away so they were all currently behind you. Rapunzel glared at him.

He turned around and looked at you. He nodded.
"Yeah, I am." He said.
You looked at the donkey. Nearby him was a ripped trouser leg. You picked it up and looked at him.

"Where did you get the donkey?"
"Bought him from a guy called Nigel?"

"I think we found Varian," you said. The group, not showing off what they just learned, had started looking around for him. You facepalmed.
"The donkey!" You exclaimed.

They looked at you, as if to say you were mad. You sighed and climbed the fence. Rapunzel tried pulling you back.
"Woah! That thing could attack at any moment!"

You giggled a little and looked at the donkey.
"Varian?" You asked. The donkey nodded it's head, his ears' falling in front of his eyes. You smiled and moved them away.

Cassandra walked forward.
"That's good and all, but have we not considered that he's a donkey? How do you expect to get him back to his normal state?" She asked. Everything came crashing down on you. She had a point.

Rapunzel walked over. "I know a witch, well, she's an alchemist. I'm sure she'll be able to help!" She said stepping forward. You nodded.
"Eugene, take Varian back to the stables. And take care of him!" You said.

He nodded, walking away with Varian. You turned to look at Rapunzel.
"So, what's her name?" You asked. As long as she could help, that was the only thing you really cared about.

She looked at you.
"Her name's Crystal, she's pretty good with making up potions and stuff like that," she explained.
You nodded smiling.
"Let's get going then! I wanna make sure we get the ride around the fields today!"

Later on you had all eventually arrived at a small little house. Cass, Raps and you walked in. You at first was going to work but the other two her already entered so what was the point?

You were all suddenly pinned to the wall by a girl, with a pretty long sword.
"Calm! Calm! You must be Crystal, right?" You asked.
The girl nodded and dropped the sword, putting it away.
"My name is Crystal. Why ya need me?" She asked.

You rubbed the back of your neck.
"So..you see, one of our friends was turned into a donkey, and we were wondering if you had anything to make him back to normal?".

She watched what you said in shock.
"A donkey you say?" She asked.
You nodded. The girl bounced over to her shelves and looked through all the neatly lined potions.

"Reversal... reversal... it's in here somewhere," she said. You started tapping your foot. You weren't good when it came to patience.

"Got it!" She exclaimed. She bounced over with a flask full of a grey liquid. "That should help your friend!" She said smiling. You took it and nodded.
"Thanks Crystal,". She giggled and nodded.
"It's no problem"

Time Skippy

You eventually got back to the castle. You walked into the stables to see Varian laying down, his tail hitting an annoyed Eugene's voiced. He looked up.

"Have you got it?!" He asked, in a rushed tone. You nodded and knelt in front of Varian.

"Hey V. We're gonna turn you back, don't worry" you said smiling.
The boy nodded and sat up sniffing the potion. You chuckled.
"Careful with that, I need you to drink it"

He nodded and drank the liquid. He then looked at you. You smiled and walked out, waiting for him to turn back. The boy walked back out and attacked you all with hugs.

"Thanks!" He exclaimed. You smiled and nodded. Suddenly, Nigel walked in, sword in his hand.
"He took it all away! I was the majesty's royal advisor! Until you came along!" He exclaimed, pointing to Varian.

You rolled your eyes.
"You used dark magic to get what you want! And it didn't work anyway!"

Nigel got ready to attack and looked at you. Rapunzel, Cassandra, Eugene and you were all protecting the young boy. He sighed and backed up, knowing he couldn't take you all on. He put away the sword and walked out.

You smiled and suddenly felt something wrap around you. You looked at the thing. Varian was hugging you. You smiled.
"It was all of us who saved you". The boy had fell asleep hugging you. You smiled and held him close.
