i jolt awake. for a few seconds I'm mildly confused at what just happened, but I quickly realise that I had a dream. a dream where I was falling. honestly, those are the worst type of dreams.

for a short moment i think that it's 5am, and that i'm still on winter break. I roll over onto the left side of my bed which is nice and cold, cuddle up into my duvet to regain warmth, and attempt to drift off back to sleep. i don't need to wake up, i can have a long lie and have another cozy day in. i slowly start to fall asleep, and it feels blissful.
and then i realised

"oh shit" I said outloud. I covered my mouth with my hand, as though I had said that in a room full of children, or up infront of the elderly in a church.

i reach my arm out to my nightstand and grap my phone to check the time. "06:21" and the date read "Monday 7 January 2019".

"ughhh" I groaned to myself.

not only was it the first day back at school, but I had woken up BEFORE my alarm. unfortunately for me, theres only 9 minutes until i actually had to wake up, and I can't get back to sleep now.
I unplugged my charger and turned on the light, making my eyes flicker for a second, then rolled onto my back. I entered my phone's passcode and opened snapchat. I opened mainly just streaks, and a few messages from kendra and naomi. my snap was so dry over the christmas period except for christmas day.

I much prefer instagram. I checked my recent post and it's comments.
