Chapter 10

He couldn't bring himself to say that it's a date.
He was scared of her reaction.
Of rejection.
And...
He also felt like all of this is going too fast.
Like, they met twice and he is already asking for a date?
She already knows that he is her friend.
And there is nothing bad about friends hanging out.
So, why not?
At least he got a chance to spend some time with her.
And that's enough.

04:57 p.m.
Jungkook was waiting for Y/n in front of the school, just like he told her.

He had a pair of black jeans and white T-shirt.
And his hair was messily placed on the side of his head, some of it falling on his forehead.

?:"Hey."
Someone tapped him on shoulder.
He turned around and locked eyes with her.
Y/n:"Were you waiting for a long time?"
His eyes moved from hers down to her clothes.
She was dressed in a white and black sweather which was revealing her bare shoulders and some jeans.
Hair was a little bit messy but still clean, and sent of coconut stronger this time.
Like she had washed it earlier.
And a simple yet cute detail that made her look even more cool were the earrings that she wore.
They were 2 big flowers.

After checking her outfit, he looked again in her eyes.
Jungkook:"N-no...I-i just got here.
B-by the w-way...
You look great."
Girl thankfully smiled at the boy.
Y/n:"you look great too.
Better than in the school uniform."

His cheeks got a light pink color.
Jungkook:"Yeah...Thank you."
Y/n:"No problem. Now, shall we?"
Kook nodded and they left.

Later;

2 of them were sitting on a bench in the park, enjoying their ice cream and both looking at the Stars in the sky.

Jungkook:"Do you believe at the story that people became Stars when they die?"
That question just slipped out his mouth.
Not moving her gaze from the sky above, Y/n smiled and answered simply.

Y/n:"Of course."
Jungkook looked at her and stared at her side profile.

Y/n:"I have some important people out there.
And I believe that they are always watching over me, helping me move forward."
He could swore he saw her eyes shining from tears.

But Y/n blinked quickly and moved those tears away even before they fell out.

Y/n:"What about you? Do you believe it?"
Jungkook was curious about this girls life now.
Who did she lost and why, how?
What things did she had to went through?
How can she still smile that innocently?
What if she just looked strong in front of people?

What is her story?

He wanted to ask her everything.
But, he didn't.
He kept it all for himself.

Jungkook:"Of course."

And then, silence.
They both listened to faint sound of the cars from far away.
Cold and fresh breeze hitting their face.
But they weren't uncomfortable because of the silence.
Maybe they both needed it.
Just each others presence.
Just each others warmth.

With finishing her ice cream, Y/n stood up.

Y/n:"Thank you for today. I had so much fun. Except the fact that we almost fell off that bike you drived."

Jungkook stood up too, and nervously smiled.

Jungkook:"Yeah. I had fun too. Hahaha, sorry again about that "

Y/n walked away few steps From him.
Y/n:"I'll be going now. See you tomorrow at school."

Boy nodded and girl flashed him big smile before turning and leaving.

He smiled to himself and went home.
