"Okay bye" I wave to my mom as I ended the FaceTime.

I put my phone down and I go to check up on my son Chase.

I open his door and I see him watching tv.

Once I fully step in he looks at me.

"Hi mommy !" He yells before running over to me and hugging my legs.

"Hi bubba" I say picking him up and bear hugging him.

"I want to see my daddy today" He says and I froze.

"Your dad ??" I ask putting him down.

"Yea. I want to see him" He says looking up at me.

But what if he doesn't show ??

"I guess it's worth a try" I say taking my phone out.

I go to my blocked list and I click on his contact and unblock him.

"Are you talking to him now mommy" Chase asks trying to look in my phone.

"Yes Chase give me a second"

: Your son wants to see his father.

This is his first time even speaking him up.

I'm nervous for my son.

😡: Be there in 30 minutes.

"He said he'll be here in a little bit" I putting my phone back in my back pocket.

"Is he nice ?" He asks following me to the staircase.

"He's okay bubba why you ask" I say picking him up and taking him downstairs.

"I don't want a mean daddy" He says following me to the kitchen.

We begin playing with some on the toys I bought and I can see all of the joy in his eyes.

I hope he doesn't come into his life and take that away

I hear a knock on the door and I frown a little.

"It's been thirty minutes already ??" I ask myself.

I go and open the door and it's not who I expected to see.

"Hey Miyah" I say giving my best friend a hug.

"Your not who I was expecting to see" I say closing the door.

"Well who were you expecting" She asks walking to the living room.

"Chase's dad is coming to meet him" I say rolling my eyes.

"Girl stop lying" she says laughing.

"I'm not. He said he'll be in a few" I say as I felt my phone rapidly vibrating in my pocket.

I see that Leion was calling me and I picked the phone up.

"What ?" I say trying to hide my attitude.

"Girl calm yo ass down and what yaw want to eat?" He asks.

"Bubba what you want to eat?" I ask him coming into the living room.

"I want a happy meal" He says looking over at me and then going back to playing with Miyah.

"Chase wants a happy meal from McDonalds." I say making Miyah look at me with wide eyes.

"What you want" He asks me.

"I don't want anything" I say sitting on my couch.

"I'll get you something" He says.
