The intensive care unit was ready and prepared for what we had been notified would come. Hearing the sirens outside the hospital will never fail to make my muscles tense and heart drop. I'd dreamt of being a surgeon and a doctor since I was a little kid, and I love it, I really do. But seeing the state and suffering of others will never be a thing that I'll get used to.
"Dr Kim! We have a level one coming in on the east wing, you're needed on scene immediately!"
Those were words I hated to hear, but having earned the title of one of the best neuro cardiologists in the country, I will always work hard to save another life.

Here's a few words and phrases that you may see that you may or may not hate me for using aha:
Level one emergency - the most urgent case
Neurocardiologist - someone who focuses on the study of the brain and the heart
Haemorrhage - where blood escapes from a ruptured blood vessel
Benign - not malignant, does not attack the body
Aneurism - the swelling of the wall of an artery in a localised area that might cause the vessel to rupture
Balloon angioplasty - a procedure used to open clogged arteries
Aegi - baby
Aigoo - aw (either in annoyance, worry or adoration)
^the vocabulary gets a lot more relaxed towards the end aha
