Dovahkiin POV

Things have been amazing since Lydia came back. We did more jobs as well as more training. I even have taken up blacksmithing, but getting better at it is a pain in the ass. I had to craft iron dagger over and over and over again. Besides that, everything else has been wonderful. Skjor then came to us with a job offer which was odd since we go to him instead.

Skjor: (Y/N), there's an assignment for you and Lydia.

Dovahkiin: What would that be?

Skjor: We have located a fragment of Wuuthrad. We've decided that this will be your official trial to be considered an honorary Companion.

Lydia: What is Wuuthrad?

Skjor: You see, the Companions have been around for around 4,000 years. The first Companions were led by Ysgramor and Wuuthrad was the axe he wielded in battle. We're trying to assemble it to its former glory. Farkas will go with you both as a Shield-Brother.

Lydia/Dovahkiin: Understood.

TIMESKIP

Well things are just swell now. Me and Lydia are trapped, Farkas is surrounded, and we're all about to be killed.

Silver Hand: Prepare to die monster! Killing you will make a great story.

Farkas: Hehehe, too bad none of you will be alive to tell it.

What happens next will be a sight I won't forget for a while. Farkas got to the ground and his limbs began to expand. His muscles grew bigger, ears began pointed, grew black fur with his skin turning the same shade. He grew a tail as his head morphed into that of a wolf with sharpened teeth and yellow irises for his eyes. Then, the beast that was Farkas howled loudly as his transformation was complete.

The noise echoed throughout the room and probably through the entire crypt at that. Those bandits were all fools for charging at a werewolf. The beast killed every last one of them by slashing at them with his strong arms and claws or simple biting at their heads to twist with a cracking sound of a broken neck. I was disgusted when he actually fed on the corpses even if he was an animal. He ran off to flip the switch to release us and came back in his human form, but we didn't trust him. Lydia pulled out her weapon in defense while I tried to not be intimidated. I shouldn't be afraid of a fucking dog when I face dragons.

Farkas: Sorry you had to see that.

Lydia: Y-your a-a

Dovahkiin: Werewolf. It seemed that those bandits knew that. Who else knows?

Farkas: Wow, you're surprisingly calm. I guess I owe you both an explanation. You see, only certain members of the Companions are werewolves, but that only stays in the Circle. They are the strongest of the Companions. The Companions have had werewolves for about 400 years. Those bandits are werewolf hunter named the Silver Hand who are called that for their use of weapons made of silver.

Lydia: S-still, I hope you can control yourself when you're like that.

Farkas: Some can't while others are taken over by the feral mind, but I can control myself.

Dovahkiin: This is...interesting.

Farkas/Lydia: WHAT?!

Dovahkiin: What? I just see this as a good opportunity to get stronger. Training and fighting bandits is good, but fighting a werewolf is better. They're fast, agile, and way stronger.

Farkas: YOU'RE CRAZY! I know being the Dragonborn makes you strong, but not that strong. Why do you even want to train against a werewolf?

Lydia: Oh (Y/N), this is like you.

Farkas: What do you mean?

Lydia: He goes through extreme lengths to get stronger. Recently he challenged a giant and won using his shouts.

Dovahkiin: Speaking of my shouts, if you help me train against a werewolf, then I'll help you train against a dragon. Sure I can't fly, but I can still shout like one, so this is the closest you will get. We both benefit from this.

Farkas: Sounds like a deal.

TIMESKIP

We've got the fragment back to Jorrvaskr to be met with the other Companions. They had a sort of ceremony to call me an official Companion. I was happy to hear that both Aela and Farkas vouched for us. I questioned Kodlak more about the Companions being werewolves. He gave me the same explanation as Farkas, but he told me something I wasn't expecting.

I thought they would all be proud of being werewolves, but Kodlak want to cure himself of it. He tells me this because he wants to go to Sovngarde when he dies instead of Hircine's realm called the Hunting Grounds. All the Daedric Princes have their own realms that they rule over and the Hunting Grounds belong to Hircine. Kodlak says it's a place where werebeasts can hunt all they want. I personally never saw Hircine as evil, I always thought that he was neutral among the princes. Then again, none of them care that much about good or bad. Later on however, I was approached us Skjor again.

Skjor: May I have a moment with you two?

Dovahkiin/Lydia: Yes?

Skjor: I ask you two to meet me and the rest of the Companions at the Underforge tonight.

Lydia: Where is that?

Skjor: It's right under the Skyforge where Eorland works his art.

Skjor then left us alone.

Lydia: My Thane, why do you think they wish to see us?

Dovahkiin: I don't know, but it could have something to with what happened when we went with Farkas. Also don't think like I don't remember that you called me (Y/N) back there.

Lydia: Wha!! Forgive me my Thane!

Dovahkiin: Hahaha, it's fine and remember that you don't have to be so formal.

That's all for today my subjects. That's right, we're approaching that part of the questline. Things are gonna get interesting. Feel free to like, comment, ask me a question, or follow me on Wattpad. Farewell for now, my subjects.
