A/N
I know I haven't been posting for a while and I'm sorry. I ain't gonna give a shit ton of excuses so I'm just gonna say the main one. My dad and I are moving.Y/N's POV
I woke up some time in the afternoon, I turned my head and immediately regretted it after the sun basically blinded my eyes. I walked around my room and tried to wake up when it then it me.
"Shit I have to meet with the losers." I whisper to myself and begun to hurry around my bedroom attempting to get my outfit on and out the door. I ran out before I could even check if my mom was still home. My legs were going as fast as they could and my lungs felt like they were about to freaking collapse as I made my way through everyone in the parade. Then finally I saw the losers all at the side of the building.
"Hey* guys* what'd I* miss?" I continuously panted resting my hands on my thy's.
Stan rubbed my back while still listening in to Bill.
"It's like she's been f-forgotten b-because Corcoran's missing." Bill stated lifting Eddie Corcoran's missing poster to reveal Bettys.
"Is it ever gonna end?" Stan asked but it's not like we knew the answer.
"What are you guys talking about?" Eddie asked eating some ice cream
"What they're always talking about." Richie told him taking a ice cream from Eddie
"Shut up Richie." I told him
Even though it sounded serious I knew Richie would know that I was joking around. He didn't reply to me though he just stuck out his tongue at me.
Ben then spoke up "I actually think it will end. For a little while, at least."
"What do you mean?" Beverly asked him
"So I was going over all my Derry research and I charted out all the big events: The Ironworks explosion in 1908, The Bradley Gang in '35, and 'The Black Spot' in '62. and now kids being." he didn't finish that and moved on to another topic about it
"I realized that this stuff seems to happen."
"Every 27 years." Ben and Bill said in unison
"Derry is hell on earth. Literally." I joked a bit trying to lift up the mood.
Stan just slowly turned to me and shook his head.
We all then sat down at the city centre. While kids were running around and goofing off we were talking about murders.
"My grandfather thinks this town is cursed. He says that all the things that happen in this town are because of one thing. An evil thing that feeds off the people of Derry." Mike told us all
"But how can it be one thing? We all saw something different." Stan asked him
Mike thought for a second
"Maybe- maybe IT knows what scares us most and that's what we see." He answered
"Dammit Mike, why do you have to make so much sense." I complained rubbing my temples
"I-I-I saw a leper- he was like a walking infection." Eddie said
I almost gagged at the image that came to my mind.
"But you didn't, because IT isn't real. None of this is. Not Eddies leper, or Bill seeing Georgie, o-or the woman I keep seeing." Stan stated
I pulled Stan in for a small hug cause I swear to god I can almost feel how scared and confused he is.
"Is she hot?" Richie asked
We all looked over to him just mentally asking him why.
"Beep beep Richie." I whispered a bit harshly
"No Richie. She's not hot, her face is all messed up. None of this makes ANY SENSE! They're all like bad dreams." He tried to reason with us getting a bit emotional
"I know the difference between a bad dream and real life, okay." Mike argued
"What'd you see? You saw something too?" Eddie asked him
"Yes," Mike answered.
"You guys know that burnt down house on Paris Avenue?" He asked
I nodded and was anxious about what he was about to tell up
"I was inside when it burned down. Before I was rescued, my mom and dad were trapped in the next room over from me pushing, and pounding on the door trying to get to me but it was too hot. when the firefighters finally found them the skin on their hands had melted down to the bone." he finished I went over and rubbed his back to comfort him as well
"Oh dear god." I whispered
"We're all afraid of something." He said.
"Got that right," Richie said as he turned around
"Why, Rich? What're you afraid of? Eddie asked
"Clowns." Richie replied adjusting his glasses
I began to fidget with my lighter very anxiously having a small anxiety attack.
"What about you Y/N? What's your fear?" Ben asked me
I shook my head trying to compose myself before answering.
"I'm extremely claustrophobic." I say quickly still trying to catch my breath from panicking.
"We should meet up tomorrow. Bill has a big garage, we can all meet up there and go through some more stuff about Derry." I turned to Bill
"If that's alright with you?" I asked him hoping he would say yes
"D-definitely." He told me
I smiled and we all began to split apart. Just I rode with Stan today.
"So are you going to tell Bill your feelings or will you two keep being oblivious?" Stan asked me pedalling to my place
"I don't have feelings for him." I insisted
"Right. Sure." He said sarcastically pulling up at my place
I went to the door and tried to open it but it was locked. And a small note was on the door.
My mistake
Next time you leave this house I will lock you in that fucking closet for a week. Now think about what you've done and come back when you're ready to be a proper daughter.
~Mom
I rolled my eyes and crumpled the paper up.
"You wouldn't mind dropping me off somewhere else would you?" I asked him not wanting to request to much of him.
"Where do you need to go?" He asked confused to why my house was locked
"Beverlys." I told him hopping onto the back of his bike.
"Hey bird boy do you consider me a best friend?" I asked kinda nervously
"Of course you're my best friend. I don't let just anyone ride on my bike with me." He tells me
I could sense him smiling as we rode to Bevs apartment building. I got off of his bike and waved goodbye to him.
"Please be here Bev." I whispered to myself going up back of the apartment.
And much to my luck I ran into Beverly having a smoke.
"Those things kill your lungs you know." I tell her catching her by surprise
"What are you doing here?" She asked me shifting on the stair to let me sit.
"My prison for nine months locked me out of the house. I was wondering if I could stay the night at your place?" I asked her hoping she would say yes
She smiled at me and gave me a nudge
"Of course. Just you'll have to be quiet in case daddy comes back." She tells me
I nodded and we headed inside for the rest of the day.
