The ringing of the phone seemed endless. In reality it had only rung 3 times but in her head it felt like a life time. The only other noise she could hear was the music playing softly through the radio of the Uber. She was so focused on the ringing that she didn't notice the voice on the other side of the phone.
"Hello? Helloooo? Is anyone there? Hellooo?" Her voice eventually cut through Nat's daze and shook her back to reality.
"Hi. Rachel. It's Natalia. Natalia Stephens" she quickly spilled out before silently scolding herself, she just needed to keep calm.
"Ah! I wondered if I was ever going to here from you again, where'd you get my number from?"
"Leah gave it to me. I meant to grab it at the World Cup but... anyway, I heard you're back a bit early. Would you maybe want to come over tonight? We can get a take away and catch up if your girlfriend is cool with it." She mumbled, looking out the window at the passing scenary.
"Um yeah sure. Sounds great. Text me the address, but I have to go. I'm meeting Millie for coffee, I'll see you later!"
The phone went dead leaving Natalia wrapped in her thoughts of what happened last time she saw the blonde.
