"So be honest, how do I look?" I ask Jeff as I straighten the same piece of hair for the millionth time today. As time had started to get closer to when Anastasia and I had to leave for the pizza night I couldn't help but feel worried about everything.
"Wow chill there Ava before I break time and jump through this phone screen" Jeff jokes as he typed something down on his computer. I smile to myself as I unplugged the hair straightener from out of the wall.
"No but like Ava you actually look really good" He says but this time I had noticed that there was a hint of adoration in his voice. I look back at the screen to see so see that Jeff was now looking at me instead of his computer.
"You're too nice" I laugh as I wrap up the straighter and placed it back it into its original spot. "Who's going to be there?" Jeff questions me as I reach for a lip gloss across my desk.
"I'm not very sure who's going to be there but I'll be by Anastasia the whole night so don't worry" I reply applying the lip gloss onto my lips. Jeff straightens his posture before jokingly pointing his pointer finger at me.
"Ava if there is anyone there whos pissing you off just remind them that your boyfriend is a criminal and he has been to jail" Jeff says in a serious tone catching me off guard. I burst out into laughter as his tiny comment.
"Noted" I smile placing the lip gloss back down on the table. ''Wait why are you a criminal again?" I question him realizing that Jeff has never actually told me why he's been to jail.
"Ava we have gotta leave right now, we are going to be so late!" Anastasia shouts walking past my bedroom and towards the front door.
"Well I guess that's my cue to head off, love you" I say wiping down my jacket.
"I love you more Ava"
