"Kya hua bhai? Riya ke chillane ki awaaz aayi abhi." Kamlesh questioned Abhay as soon as he stepped out of the room.

"Pata nahi." Abhay replied with a debpressed face while sinking onto a chair.

"Woh theek toh haina?" I questioned.

"Hosh toh aaya tha." Abhay answered.

"Aaplog patient Riya ke attendants hain?" A nurse came and asked us.

"Yes." Kamlesh answered and she went after hearing us.A minute later, the senior doctor came to us.

"I'm extremely sorry to inform that the patient has partially lost her recent memory. We don't know the time period yet but most probably she's living in the past month." The doctor said and I felt as if I'm gonna faint.

"No!" Abhay reacted holding his head and fell onto Kamlesh's shoulder.

"You're her brother right?" Doctor questioned Kamlesh.

"Yes doctor." Kamlesh replied.

"Aap sab try karenge ki patient ko stress na dein. Unse koi bhi aisi baat na karein jo recent ek month mein hui. I'll suggest unka human interaction decrease karne so that jab tak recovery nahi hoti, unki brain cells affect na ho." The doctor said to Kamlesh in a low voice.

"We'll try our best." Kamlesh said sadly.

"Aap mein se koi bhi unse milna chahe toh you're welcome." Doctor said and then left.

"Tum jaao." Kamlesh said to me so I went to Riya with tears flowing down my cheek.

I sat on the chair beside her bed and she opened her eyes on feeling someone's presence.

"Ash." Riya said looking at me. I caressed her forehead and didn't say anything. I couldn't get a word out of my mouth.

"Main hospital mein kyu hoon?" She questioned.

"BP low ho gaya tha tera." I lied since I didn't want to scare her.

"Oh." She said in a low voice.

"Tu theek ho jaayegi jaldi." I said giving her hand a light squeeze.

"Ash, mujhe uss kamine ki shakal bhi nahi dekhni. Tell him to get lost." She's talking about Abhay I guess.

"Sirf Samikhya, Anushree aur main tujhe lekar aaye hain. Tu kiski baat kar rahi?" I lied again.

"Oh. Pata nahi kyu laga ki Abhay ko dekha maine." She said holding her head.

"Stress mat le, illusion hua hoga." I said and gave her a hug.

"Okay. Mujhe bhook lagi hai." She said.

"Main nurse ko bol deti hoon lunch le aane." I said and went out.

"Riya kaisi hai?! Theek toh haina?" Abhay questioned as soon as I came out.

"Haa." I said slowly.

Abhay and Riya had started liking each other a lot recently and honestly, its hurting a lot to see him in this condition. He's crying a lot and its hurtful to witness this.

"To rona band kar." Kamlesh said while embracing Abhay in a hug.

"She hates me now." Abhay sobbed on Kamlesh's shoulder.

"Theek ho jaayegi woh." I gave some hope to Abhay while patting his back.

We both know that time is harsh on us all right now. Everytime I feel its gonna get better, things worsen. Life is definitely so uncertain.
