Chapter Six!

Behir hold each other's hand and run towards a temple. They see a couple getting married and observe what the couple is doing. The boy and girl stand together and take seven rounds around the fire. The priest asks them to sit and gives them mangalsutra (nuptial chain) and sindur (vermillion). The boy ties the chain around her neck and fills her forehead with the sindur. Behir look at each other and smile. The priest then declares the couple as married and leaves from there.

The couple too leave the alter and go to take blessings.

Bela: Mahir hum bhi shaadi karein aunty ne kaha tha kal parso shaadi hogi.

Mahir: Ok! But ye itne barhe hai hum chote.

Bela: mene ek serial me dekha tha mama dekh rahi th wo tv wali aunty bol rahi th "pyar or shaadi ki koi umar nh hoti"

Mahir: Really?

Bela: haan! aur wo baat mamma ne bhi maan li aur boli sahi kaha isne.

Mahir: to chalo aaj mahir or bela ki shaadi hai.

Behir immediately run to that alter and hold hands. Mahir leads the first four rounds and Bela leads the next three rounds and complete the seven rounds. Then Behir sit on the tool and Mahir fills her forehead with the vermillion. He looks around and doesn't find any nuptial chain. Then he recalls the black thread he has in his neck with a locket. He removes that ties it around Bela's neck.

The priest comes back to clean the alter but gets shocked seeing Mahir tying the chain around Bela's neck.

Priest: Ae bacche... kya kar rahe ho?

Mahir completes tying and looks at priest.

Mahir: Shaadi kar rahe hai.

Priest: Kya?

Bela: Haa hamne shaadi kar li hai. Ab ham chalte hai.

Priest stands shocked and confused while Behir pray to God once and run back to Bela's home. The priest then realises what happened and immediately calls Aditi and Sumitra and tells them what happened, shocking them. Behir reach Bela's home only to find a very tensed atmosphere. Seeing Behir, Aditi goes to them and makes them leave each other's hands and shouts: " Kaha the dono?"

Bela: Maa.. wo... wo... mai aur Mahi...

Aditi shouts: Batao Kaha the!

Bela (shivering): Mandir me

Aditi: Kya karne gaye the mandir me?

Bela: Sha.. sha.. sha.. shaadi

Aditi slaps Bela very badly making her fall down.

Aditi: Aaj tak tumne jitni bhi badmaashi ki jitni bhi pareshan ki mai chup thi kyunki sochi tum bacchi ho. Lekin aaj tumne saari hade paar kar di. Ye bhi koi shaadi karne ki umar hai?

Sumitra: Mahir tu... tu chup kyu khada hai? tu toh bahut samajhdar tha na... bahut badon ki Tarah behave karta tha... toh fir aaj kya hua? shaadi ko Mazak samjha hai jo jaake aise harkat karke aa gaye!

Mahir: Sorry maa... mujhe laga ki...

Sumitra: Kya laga? Ek bar bhi hamse poochna sahi nahi samjhe? Tum itna bada ho gaya ki apne life decisions me mujhse permission lene ki zarurat nahi samjha?

Behir cry very hard seeing which Sumitra and Aditi feel very bad but their anger is dominating the sorrow. Suddenly both Aditi and Sumitra get call from Karan (Bela's father) and Andy respectively. They speak over phone and look at each other in confusion.

Sumitra: Karan bhai sahab ka call tha?

Aditi: Haa... Baat panchayat tak pahunch gayi. Pata nahi waha kya hoga.

Sumitra: Kabhi socha nahi tha ki yeh din dekhne padenge. (To behir) Aajse tum dono ka milna band. Agar hame bataye bina mile toh dekhlena.. itna maarenge ki tum dono soch bhi nahi sakte.

Sumitra takes mahir and leaves. Bela runs to her room and cries while mahir does the same. They both deny eating food and sleep hungry in their respective rooms. Behir's parents understand how close behir have grown to each other and feel guilt to scold them.

Karan: Kal subah panchayat me faisla hoga ki kya karna hai lekin jo bhi ho mai bas pray karta hu ki uska affect inpe buri tarah na pade. Bacche khush hone chahiye uss result se.

Aditi: Haa Karan. Mujhe bhi Bela ke khushi se badhkar kuch nahi chahiye.

In Mahir's home,

Sumitra: Bela bahut acchi bacchi hai. Mujhe samajh nahi aa raha hai ise bachpana kahu ya fir...

Andy: Kya?

Sumitra: Haa Andy... aapne bhi dekha na ki kaise bela aur mahir ek dusre ke khayal rakhte hai aur hamesha saath rehne ki koshish karte hai. uss din jab Mahir ko chot lagi toh Bela kitni pareshan ho gayi thi... aisa lag raha tha jaise Mahir se zyada use dard ho raha ho. aur hamara mahir bhi uske lie sab kuch karne ko taiyyar hai...

Andy: agar yahi bhagwan ka faisla hai toh hame bhi manzur hai.

Sumitra: Haa bilkul.
