SKYLAR HANNIGAN IS NOT FUCKING WEAK. Years spent in the shithole that is Gotham along with being an orphan since she was eighteen has hardened her soul. Learning you are a metahuman with unimaginable strength and enhanced instincts doesn't help. After a confrontation with the Scarecrow, she finds herself stumbling right into the path of the Batman, the dark knight of Gotham. He offers her an ultimatum, a chance; she either works with him or gets out of the city. Faced with no other choice, Skylar accepts and trains till she becomes one of Gotham's elusive vigilantes.
Five years after his death, Jason Todd is back. He's no longer Robin; he's the Red Hood now, the anti-hero that nearly took over Gotham's underworld if not for Batman's interference. After many fights and very tense scenes (including the time he got shot), his relationship with his old, adoptive father is somewhat stable.
The same cannot be said for his relationship with Watcher though. They are constantly arguing and trying to one up each other. He's seen her from the shadows. She's vicious, loud, brash and the strength she has is almost inhuman.
As their paths keep on crossing, including through many Wayne family dinners and galas, Skylar and Jason find their fates intertwined and no matter how much they deny, the two have a magnetic pull towards each other. And soon...there will be feelings in play...

I wanted to do something to celebrate this time and whatever better way to do it than to completely revamp my old Jason Todd fic and make it into a short story full of hurt/comfort, slight angst, fluff, and banter set during the holiday season. The earlier version of this fic was very full of pain and angst; this is much more lighter, but there will be some degree of angst here.
