Lucifuge Rofocale's POV

Lucifer?

Nagtiim-bagang ako nang mapagtanto ang nangyayari. He's slowly succumbing to darkness, and that would be the death of him because the soul he holds right now is pure.

I summoned phantoms around, and drowned the forces attacking me to a muddle of poison. Their bodies turned green, their skins peeling off until it's all bones, and their mouths screaming mercy in my name. But I had no time for mercy, especially if Lucifer's in danger.

Hindi nagawang mapatay ni Sinclair si Phoenicia. Hindi siya mamamatay hangga't wala rito si Leonidas. Sa halip ay naging Phoenix na talaga si Phoenicia. Sa ilalim ng Phoenix, anino lang niya ang nakikita. Her wings broke the roofs and towers of the Pelagus Arce.

Sinundan ng mga mata ko ang pag-alpas niya sa Phoenix Academy, sa tahanan ni Georgia. Halos nag-martsa ako papunta kay Sinclair, at kinuha mula sa kanya ang espada ni Lucifer. Mabilis siyang napaligon sa'kin, inaakalang kalaban ako. She sighed in relief when she had realized who I was. Akmang magsasalita na siya ngunit inunahan ko na siya.

Tiningnan niya si Sinclair na para bang gusto niya akong paalisin dito. Nagpabalik-balik ang tingin ni Sinclair sa'min, halatang nagtataka. Binigkas ko naman ang mga katagang tumatak sa utak ko. "An angel will die, but a demon will sacrifice."

Napasinghal ako. "Ito na siguro ang sinasabi ng propesiyo. The second sacrifice would be me, not you, Lucifer," saad ko sa kanilang dalawa. "It is rightful to give this soul back to the owner."

Sa totoo lang ay kanina ko pa sinimulan ang soul transfer. In order for Lucifer to survive, we must swap souls. That way, the dark memories will eat me away and not him. Naramdaman ko ang pag-aalinlangan ni Lucifer na tanggapin ang kaluluwa ko.

"Sinclair, make a barrier for us, and don't let anyone get near," utos ko sa kanya't mabilis siyang tumango-tango.

Hinawakan ko ang kamay ni Lucifer, at mas pinaigting ang soul swapping namin. This is what I would have done with Georgia. "Without you, Lucifer, there's no purpose left here. Kaya't mas gugustuhin ko pang sumunod kay Georgia, kaysa maiwan dito," natatawa kong sambit.

"I have no regrets on sacrificing my life to my creator. To my very own," I mentioned to him, smiling.

Lumingon ako kay Sinclair, abala sa pakikipaglaban sa mga pinadala ni Phoenicia na bampira pero alam kong nakikinig siya. "Lucifer's soul will die, but I will exchange our souls. He will be a demon, but he is still Lucifer."

She stopped a bit, and looked over her shoulder. "Thank you... and I'm sorry, Lucifuge," aniya sa kanyang utak. Napailing naman ako. It's not her fault everything went like this. We all had our fair shares. And I know that she knows what's coming.

Alam niyang kailangan niyang mawala upang magpatuloy ang mundong 'to.

Sana lang ay dumating na rin dito si Gaiael at Leonidas. Gaiael is still giving a lecture to Leon, after all unang beses niya gagamitin ang kapangyarihan niya. But he's a full Phoenix and a human, he would be wise enough to use his powers. He must be a fast learner.

Now that the soul transfer is close to complete, memories of mine and Lucifer mixed up. Medyo nanlalabo na rin ang paningin ko, and for Lucifer, he must be regaining energy.

"S-Sariel?" I heard him ask. Tumango nalang ako 'pagkat nahirapan na rin akong huminga. Nararamdaman ko ang humuhiwalay ang kairalan ko sa presensya ko. Yes, our child. Georgia and I wouldn't be with her... she could have been my purpose.

"The child will live... that means, there will still be a future," mahinang sambit ni Lucifer, careful not to be heard by Sinclair. "Ibig sabihin mamamatay si Sinclair and this realm will go on?" I heard him thought.

Gusto ko sanang sagutin ang tanong na 'yon, pero wala rin akong kasiguraduhan. Georgia... she saw Sinclair and Sariel together in her angelic dreams. Kaya naguguluhan din ako... pero kahit ano'ng gawin ko, hindi ko na 'yon makikita rin, anuman ang mangyari sa hinaharap.

Hindi ko na siya pinansin, I was too weak now, at napakaraming memorya ni Lucifer ang aking nakikita. Puro mukha ni Sinclair. This angel is that in love na halos si Sinclair lang laman ng memorya niya. What a jerk.

"Georgia," narinig kong sabi niya. I felt my forehead crease and my hand tightened the grip. "You're that in love?" aniya. Natawa naman ako sa loob-loob ko. I almost forgot that we are the same, but I am only darker. We are that in love, I guess.

"Thank you, Lucifuge," narinig kong sabi niya. I coughed and I felt blood coming out from it. Why is this man even thanking me? Ako pa nga dapat ang magpasalamat sa kaniya.

"I will end everything for the both of you, ah— for the three of you," he chuckled, despite the loneliness in his tone. Sinubukan kong imulat ang aking mata, at sa halip na makita ko si Lucifer, I saw myself. I smiled inwardly, the soul transfer is complete and successful.

"Go," I mouthed at nandilim na ang paningin ko.

Everything has finally ended.
