A week later...
"Merry Christmas!" Kofi shouted coming in my new home.
I was now living in a three bedroom apartment since the studio wasn't cutting it with Kianna on the way. We were able to go home yesterday just in time for Christmas day.
I hadn't necessarily spoken to Kofi about us while in the center but I did take that time to ponder on our history.
"Take it down three moe' knotches bitch because Kianna's sleeping," I informed him, silently.
He nodded his head and put down the festive bags under my tree. "Who are all those for because I bought Kianna enough shit for the whole year?"
"Some are for her because I heard about your splurge," he said with a laugh. "Most of these belong to you, feel free to open them now."
I placed my hands on my hips and turn my mouth to the side then sighed. "Look Kofi, before everyone starts to come over, I think we should talk."
"Ok, what's up?" He asked sitting on the couch.
"I don't know how I should say this but..."
"Come on, just say it directly."
I took a deep breath then blurted it out, "I don't think I want you anymore."
I watched Kofi's facial expression change. He no longer looked as happy as he did when came in. "What?"
"I'm sorry but these seven months has opened my eyes and a relationship would just be unrealistic. Co-parenting, yes, but romantically, no," I explained.
"Why not?"
"Kofi, you're still married!" I somewhat raised my voice.
"Okay, I'll divorce her then."
"No, you're not getting the point. That's just the main reason that we cannot go through with a relationship, but there is more."
"That's some bullshit! We can be together."
