The First Night

Dinner went smoother than expected. With Namjoon as my translator, I didnt have to make a big fool of myself. I spent most the time listening to Namjoon explain what the others were trying to say, but I had a lot of fun.

When we get back, I tell the boys goodnight and go to my room, shutting the door behind me. The very first thing I do is take my makeup of. I don't usually wear it, and I definitely dont wear much, but I can never wear it for too long. I take my hair out of it's messy bun, brush it, and head for my bathroom. My mom sent me with brand new shower supplies as a way of making it look like she cared. I take a long, steamy shower, something I was never able to do at home. I then slip on some soft pajamas and crawl into bed.

I wake up in a forest, alone, scared. Its beautiful. The sun shines through the trees, casting a golden glow on everything. But I know something's wrong.

I turn and see my mother, peering around a tree. As soon as I catch her eye, she darts off, giggling in a ghostly voice like a little kid. The sound starts to drive me over the edge.

"Stop!" I scream. "Just stop! Please stop!" I'm crying, on my knees. The sound stops and I slowly stand up. I dont see her anywhere. I turn to look behind me and there she is. She screams.

I wake with a jolt. I'd never had a nightmare that scared me, not like that. I roll over to check the time on my phone. 5:37. I roll over and stare at the ceiling. When I dont fall asleep after 20 minutes, I slowly open my door and creep out into the hallway. All doors are closed and all is silent, so I guess I didnt scream in my sleep. I creep back into my room and lay down. Eventually i fall asleep.
