9. Kenma - Red rose ♡

It was finally break time after 2 long lessons of chemistry and physics, you were walking down the hallway, holding on to your science books ready to dump back in your locker.

when randomly a thought came upon you. the school prom was in two days, but of course you being the the nerdy geek in your class you never planned on going since you didn't have many friends and of course no one asked you to be their partner.

'staying home and playing on my Nintendo switch is probably more fun than this prom thing' you thought, knowing how much better it would be to play The Legend of Zelda : Breath of The Wild .

As you arrived to your locker and started putting back all your books a voice came from behind you

"hey (y/n)" you turned around to see kuroo testuro, one of your best friend's boyfriend

"oh hey kuroo what's up?" you asked

"my girl friend (bf/n) didn't tell you anything right?" he gave you a concerned look

"uhm, no we weren't even in the same class this morning" you simply responded

"did no one asked you to prom yet?" he looked curious

"nope" you responded a little disappointed

he stared and calmly said "alright well i'll see you" he gave one of his signature smirks, turned around and waved goodbye

'hm? weirdo. how did (bf/n) fall for this dude'

you shook off the thought getting out the books you would need for the next class, you looked down as you walked towards your next class early lost in the thought of what kuroo said

'i bet no one will ever ask me to prom'

'is there something wrong with me maybe?'

you then suddenly bump into someone, making you fall and drop your books.

"oh god i'm so sorry" the person apologized, only looking up to see it was kenma, your friend, you met him since kuroo was his best buddy basically, they were always hanging out together

"oh it's you kenma" you said as soon as you looked up to see him with his Nintendo switch in hand, crouching down to help you with your books, you suddenly touched hands when you landed holding the same book,he looked towards you just completely staring, staring to appreciate your beautiful face, he had a crush on you ever since you two met, not just because you were a nerdy person who loved video games but because he was shown to a whole other world outside of videos games, he experienced his first love when he met you and it drew him in more always wanting to get to know you more.

awkwardness soon overflowed as you both were now gazing into each others eyes, both of you giving innocent stares, you felt like you were burning up

'who wouldn't, kenma is so cute'

soon after you probably thought you looked like an idiot doing the mannequin challenge on crack, you coughed and asked

"why are we just sitting in the middle of the hallway?"

"oh uhm right" he shook his head snapping back to reality

you then had gathered all your books and kenma helped you stand back up, he lets go of your hand and looks away with a little tint of red on his cheeks. you noticed this and couldn't help it was cute.

you tried looking at his face but he soon covered it with his hand, it looked like he wanted to say something so you had the nerve to ask

"is there something you wanted to ask kenma-san?"

he looks towards you still blushing but now with a hint of seriousness on his face

'fuck, did i make the situation worse?' you thought i a bit of panic

at this point you really thought you had screwed up

'maybe i said something wrong?'

'great job (y/n) woop woop round of applause for my stupid ass'

you looked at him a little scared

"u-uh i didn't mean to look at you in such an intimidating way! i'm sorry! wait, are you mad now? because of me? did i do something wrong? oh god i really hope i didn't. y-you're cheecks are turning red, are you sick? maybe you should go to the nurse! i'll take-"

you place your hand on his shoulder

"i-i'm alright" you couldn't look him in the eye but he watches you bow in forgiveness

'cute' kenma thought as you apologized several times with a pout on your face

"well i'm just really sorry kenma i-" he cut you off when he grabbed your hand, you tilted your head in confusion, this made you blush once again.

"(y/n)..."

you looked at him, he softly tightened his grip on your hand, he was staring back into your eyes.

"i know it's not really the best time to ask this but..."

he smiled and took a rose out of his bag and handed it towards you, looking away.

you looked at the beautiful red rose he was holding, you slowly took it from his hand, the shade of red caught your eye, it was such a pretty shade of red, you looked up at kenma.

"will you be my partner for prom?" he bowed 

your expression changed, you were so surprised this point you were holding your breath in

"y-yeah, sure" you gave him a smile and all of a sudden kenma pulled you in to a hug, this was so surprising to you since kenma wasn't the type to be too touchy, you felt his warmth hugging him back, you felt your heart beating faster too like it would almost pop out of your chest

"thank you (y/n) you won't regret it" he mumbled against the side of your head

♡ - hello fellow readers i really hope you enjoyed this chapter, it actually took me a while to write it but OMG THE FIRST 2 EPISODES OF SEASON 4 WERE SOOO GOOD. ugh i can't wait to see more of ushijima and my boy atsumu miya, also just for curiosity tell me ur fav haikyuu boy cuz i'm just curious to see. OH ONE LAST THONG !!!
