Sam's POV

"And I thought my life was sad."

I whirred round as quick as possible and grabbed two knives and a gun from my boots. I held both knives with one hand and pressed them against the strangers neck and used my other hand to hold the gun to his temple. "Who sent you?" I say, digging the weapons deeper into his skin.

"Woah woah woah! Leave the kid alone Sam!" Steve said.

"Sam, this is completely unnecessary," Dad commented.

"I should've known you had more weapons on you," an impressed (and is that fear in her voice?) Nat said.

"GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF MY KID!" Stark screams.

I put down the weapons but I'm still tense. I intimidate him by making a show of the knives especially before interrogating him. "Who are you and who sent you?"

"Sam calm down. This is Peter and he is Tony's son," Dad explains.

"Uhh, Mr. Barnes? He's not actually my dad. He's my mentor."

"Oh you definitely see him as a dad," I say, smirking. My observation skills have really outdone themselves this time.

"Just because he is now my legal guardian, doesn't make him my dad!"

"I'm hurt kiddo," Tony says, ruffling his hair.

"So Peter, how old are you and what's your story?" I ask.

"I'm sixteen years old, and my story? Basically parents died when I was young, moved in with my aunt and uncle, uncle died when I was thirteen and my aunt died about two weeks ago," he says, tears coating his eyes.

"I'm sorry to hear that. So, are you staying here now?"

"Yeah, Mr. Stark found out yesterday and took me in."

"Makes sense. I mean, being Spider-Man and all. Good luck," I say dramatically, before leaving the room.

Peter's POV

"Um, who was that, how did she know my identity and why did she say good luck?" I ask.

"That's my daughter Sam. She's a weird one but you'll get used to her. As for her knowing your identity, never question her methods," Mr. Barnes answers.

"But how did she-."

"Right, I'm off to the lab," Da- uh, Mr. Stark announced.

"But how did she-,"

He shushes next so I just follow him, but I can't get her out of my head. Sam Barnes. She might possibly be one of the most beautiful girls I have ever met. "-ter. Peter. Peter!"

"Huh?" I quickly swivel around in my chair to face Mr. Stark.

"You okay there, bud? I know Sam can be personal sometimes and bring back bad memories. I know that some things are still fresh an-."

I'd rather not talk about it, Mr. Stark."

"That's fine. Also what have I said about the whole 'Mr. Stark' thing? That's my dad. I'm Tony." I know he's trying to change the subject, but I welcome his distraction.

"Isn't it obvious? It annoys you," I respond cheekily. He ruffles my hair and gets back to work, leaving me thinking about Sam Barnes.

I can't sleep so I thought 'Why not write a chapter?' So yeah...
