Short filler🤷‍♀️.

Natasha's POV

Okay, what the fuck? Does this girl ever stop? Normally I can read people like open books, but she's different. She keeps a stone cold expression that even I can't break (not to sound egotistical, but I have never failed at reading people until now). Then she just casually tells us she has a kid? And that she's BLIND? What the hell happened to this poor girl?

After Barnes runs out the room, we all follow, but keeping a safe distance as to not invade their privacy. I'm just confused as to how she manages to manoeuvre her way around without walking into walls, tables, chairs, and just about any other obstacle. She must be incredibly talented to have come this far.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Barnes- Bucky asks. Damn there are too many Barnes' and Sam's now.

"No one asked."

"..." I can't wait any longer.

"Still think you should've told us you're blind," I say, now entering the room with the others beside me.

Sam's POV

I face towards Nat, even though I can't see her. "Didn't really cross my mind," I tell her.

"Oh yeah, because you can just forget a permanent disability," Clint says, rolling his eyes.

"Hey, I have it worse than you," I retaliate. "You can still hear with a bit of help. I, however, haven't seen Hell, I don't even know what my son looks like. It's all guess work for me," I say, for once in my life allowing myself to get frustrated over the many things I have never been able to experience because of HYDRA.

Bruce speaks up from behind the group, "how do you know who to look at? Where to move? How do you cope?" He asks curiously.

"Most of it is from memory. Like, I could tell you where inanimate objects around the room are right now. To start with, I have to rely on heightened senses. The super soldier serum along with the animal DNA allows me to navigate easier through smell and sound. I listen to hear where echos sound from and I can deduce where things are placed (this is based off of blind men who actually used echolocation to avoid walking into things. Their names were Ben Underwood and Daniel Kish. Unfortunately, Ben died at 16, however Daniel is still alive). It's difficult, but I get used to it. It's also how I know what expression people are making, along with the quietest sounds of their face moving. Ew that sounds disgusting," I say shuddering.

"That's... amazing," Tony says.

"I know," I say with a cheeky grin, before I feel Jay rest his head on my lap. When did I even sit down? "Bed for you?" I ask quietly to him, only to get a yawn in response as snuggles closer into me. I pick him up and leave Tony and Bruce to geek out at my lifestyle whilst I go to tuck Jay into bed.

This whole blind thing is a lil confusing, so if you have any questions about how Sam manages to do, well, anything really, leave a comment and I'll try to explain if I can!
