Two Months Later
I close the door behind me and walk to the couch and shut my eyes for just a second. It was busy as hell at work today but Mr. Hurts let me off early, which is a upside.
My me time is cut short when I feel tiny little fingers on my leg. I open my eyes and look down to see Aimee.
"DaDa" she exclaims while smiling.
"Hey chipmunk" I exclaim while picking her up and throwing her in the air.
Hearing her laugh just wiped away all my tiredness. This little girl really is my heart. I place her back on the floor.
"Where is BB?" she looks at me and then walks toward the dining room, I'm assuming that's where Bey was.
I get up and follow her. Oh yeah, Aimee started walking about three weeks ago. I was at work when it happened so I was a little sad but Bey made sure she recorded when it happened. She also started saying "DaDa" a couple weeks ago thanks to Bey.
I walk into the dining room to see Bey studying.
"Hey Bey" I say while placing a kiss on her forehead. I look to her computer to see she is on FaceTime with Aaliyah. "Hey Liyah"
"Hey big head"
"See there you go" I respond while laughing.
"Don't start y'all" Bey playfully warns.
When Bey told me that Aaliyah was her tutor I was shocked. And then when she told me she deleted my number I was shook because just fuck me huh? Nah I'm playing it's cool because Aaliyah is really good people and has turned out to be a good friend to me and Bey, so it's all good.
"I'm about to order some Chinese food" I inform Bey.
"Okay make sure you get my chicken & broccoli"
I nod my head and then head back to the living room with Aimee to order the food. I sit on the couch and grab my phone to call in my order. While I waited I played tea party with Aimee. This is her favorite thing to play right now, this and painting nails. And yes I let my daughter paint my nails, that's my heart if she want to put a full face of makeup on me I'll let her.
I hear the doorbell ring and knowing its the food I grab my wallet and head to the door. I hand the delivery guy the $20 and close the door. I place the food in the kitchen and head to the dining room to get Bey.
"Bey, the food is here" I say as I enter the dining room. I look to see her sleep on her textbooks. I chuckle while shaking my head.
I lift her head up and close her textbooks. I pick her up while heading to her room.
"Mmmm" she groans. "I have to finish studying" she mumbles.
"You barely can keep your eyes open. You've studied enough, you got this, but you have to sleep as well. I'll put your plate of food in the fridge if you wake up and are hungry" I tell her while placing her in the bed.
I barely cover her with the covers before she is knocked out again. I head back to the kitchen and fix me and Aimee a plate. After we are finish eating, I give Aimee a bath and then we both head to bed.

I walk out of class with a big smile on my face. I just passed my test with a 90 and I can't help but be happy. This is the best grade I have got in this class, and it's only up from here. I get in my car and immediately call Aaliyah.
