Jack's POV

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

"Jack." Someone said as i went to put my headphones in. I sighed and turned to see Alex. He was wearing a long sleeve, black and gray flannel, and grey skinny jeans with a pair of DC's. I was just wearing black jeans and a Fall Out Boy shirt with converse. "Where you going?"

"...Home..." I replied like it was obvious.

" No your not." He grabbed my wrist and started pulling me to the gym.

" Let go." I tried to free my wrist, but he had a grip. Once in the gym, he let go.

"Come on. You need the credit and I'm willing to help." He stated.

"Why?" I asked.

" Because I'm not as big of a dick as you think." He shrugged.

" Right... yeah, I'll believe that when Fall Out Boy makes a new album." I rolled my eyes.

" You are so stubborn." He sighed.

" Says the guy who called me a freak the day he met me." I went to walk away.

" Jack, just fucking stay." He ordered. I raised my eyebrows.

" Wow now Mr. Feisty pants." I mumbled. "Fine... um what do we do?"

"Same thing as gym class I guess." He shrugged. "But we can slack a little so we don't die."

"Okay." I shrugged and sat my phone down. He walked over to do something and I began to take of my jacket.

"Catch." I heard before turning in time try a basketball to the face. It bounced off my face and I grabbed my nose.

" Oh my god!" I screamed.

"Shit."he ran over and tried to move my hands. "Let me see."

"No." I turned away. That was on purpose...

" Sorry, dude."  He said.

" Like hell." I moved my hand and saw that I wasn't bleeding. I sighed.

"I didn't mean to..." he looked down.

" Sure... and you didn't mean to trip me in the hall, or call me a fag, or 'bump' me against the lockers." I snapped and grabbed my jacket and phone. He didn't stop me this time when I walked away.

The next day, Alex wasn't at school. The day after, he was. He didn't talk to me, though. At the end of the day, when everyone was leaving, I saw him walk by.

" Don't leave yet." I mumbled. I saw he noticed I'd spoken, but he kept walking. I stayed for a while longer, but didn't see him walking by, so i began to walk out.

"Hi." A voice said behind me, making me jump ten feet in the air.

Alex's POV

I wanted to laugh, but didn't. Instead I smiled at him.

" Asshole..." he mumbled.

"So, you told me to stay?" I asked. He nodded.

"Um... sorry for snapping the other day." He said and looked down.

" Sorry for throwing a basketball at your face. I expected a bit more reflexes." I admitted. He laughed.

"I'm literally as coordinated as a baby deer." He stated.

"Maybe. But all deer become graceful one day." I added. He looked at me shocked. " Let's pretend I didn't say that."
