Hey!
How are you doing?
Is everything going good for you?
I feel like I'm losing;
And I don't know what to do.
I have a trail of broken hearts leading to my feet;
Some of them have turned to dust; some are still bleeding.
Today is my birthday;
I desperately need to get away.
I'm sick of feeling guilt.
I'm about to say "fuck it".

Time has no meaning anymore,
What is this all for?
Stars loosen in the skies like glitter falling into my eyes,
These truly are the most testing of times.
Let's move the furniture to create space,
If I don't move my mind will run; it'll race.
Jewels loosen in crowns just like nooses around my world,
Have I forgotten how much I'm worth?

I just want to dance these tears away,
I just want to dance this heartache away.
I'll learn how to be happy,
It's gotta be somewhat easy.
I just want to dance this sadness away,
I just want to dance.
I just want to dance.

Take photographs of memories we may one day forget,
Never take the love you feel for granted.
Emotions wither like roses in winter,
Heartbeats never fall off kilter.
Years from now time will enter,
And take a page out of my book for us all to remember;
To remember seeds that never did grow,
To remember fear we purposefully forget to know.
I'll dance these moments away as long as I have to,
Maybe one day they won't be so true.

Ruby red apartment lights illuminating the night's sky;
Champagne problems embedded in you and I.
I can drink whatever I want tonight;
Fuck doing everything right.
I want to feel electric, crazed love;
I should be in Vegas.
I should be in Vegas.

Hey!
Your eyes are red; have you been crying?
Are you feeling down and out?
I know everything is withering and dying;
But you should be proud.
Be proud of the strength you have;
Be proud of that infectious laugh.
I was thinking about you the other day;
About how you never let life get in your way.
I admire that and I admire you;
Run away with me, come on, you know what to do.

This isn't the time for reinvention;
Nor is it time for an intervention.
I want this year to be a celebration;
A party for all to have an invitation.
I don't want to have regrets this year;
I've shed one too many tears.
Dance with me under this fluorescent moonlight;
Make this love a sight to be seen;
Dance with me; dance with me.
I'm finally twenty-one;
Let's have some fuckin' fun.
