Joshua felt a mix of emotions as he walked onto the set of Nini's bedroom for their first day of filming. He had read the script so many times that it was engraved into his brain, yet he still felt nervous as if he was going to mess up the scene.
"Alright, we're going to start rolling," the director called out as Joshua and Olivia got into their places. He laid across Nini's bed, holding his phone up to watch a video as she sat on his side, peering over at him. She gave him a thumbs up with her eyebrows raised, asking him if he was ready. He replied with a small smile and a thumbs up back before the director called action.
"Do my feet stink? 'Cause I feel like my feet stink," Joshua began reciting his line, feeling the scene begin to flow.
"No," Olivia replied, pausing before continuing, "Sort of. I think it's cute."
"Yeah? Okay," Joshua smiled before Olivia leaned in to peck his lips. "And that's why we work."
The rest of the scene continued on, the directors not asking for many retakes, before Olivia had to film herself singing the song her character wrote for Ricky.
Joshua stood off to the side as he watched Olivia sing the cute little song, strumming away on her ukulele. She looked so at peace, happy to be on camera, not seeming very nervous. He admired her confidence, smiling to himself once she finished the scene and grinned, shooting him a thumbs up.
He shot one back, matching her grin.

A/N: me reading this after writing it feeling like 🥱 because it feels borING but it'll get better i just gotta set it up and i kinda want it to be more of a slow burn because it's kinda unrealistic for them to like each other after filming like one scene so 🤷🏻♀️
