I actually was going to enter this in the previous contest of MaudFox08 which was a no erase challenge but, I messed up on proportions. The proportions are still messed. I used acrylic paint, pencil, a gel pen, illustration markers, and washi tape. I had no idea what to do for the background at first. I wanted to try washi tape so I order a few samples for this project. I had to put packaging tape on top of the project to keep the washi tape down. I kept peeling it off and replacing it. The tape will stick fine on it's own if you leave it be.
The washi tapes are placed at awkward angles on propose. My character, Senpai Chaton, is goofy and odd. Paw-ssibly a tad bit crazy. Straight lines for the background are so suffocating sometimes. Like where's the freedom? The creative? The spontaneity? Or is this just me?
