Roddy pov

It's been two days and Dee still wasn't answering my calls or my texts and that shit was really fucking me up mentally. Like since we met we haven't gone one day without speaking to each other wether it was through the phone or face to face. I ain't know what the fuck I was supposed to do.

I was in my room in the bed tryna go to sleep but I heard some shuffling in the living room so I got up and checked it out.

"I'm just here to get the rest of my stuff" she said walking past me and I grabbed her wrist making her turn around.

"You done with me?" I questioned and she avoided eye contact and she nodded her head yes.

"Look at me in my eyes and speak" I said and she looked up at the ceiling and sighed and then looked at me.

"I'm done with you" she mumbled

"Why?" I said and my voice cracked so I cleared my throat.

"That tmz shit was fake. She sat on my lap and I told that hoe to get up off me" I said trying to clear things up.

"It's not even that. It's because you're so toxic Roddy. You could have killed him Roddy he was bleeding and you did all that for no reason because there is and there will never ever be nothing going on between us besides the friendship we have" she said getting teary eyed.

"You was letting that nigga speak for you and shit and you know I don't fuck with that nigga"

"You don't like him because you think we have something going on when we clearly don't"

"Let me find out y'all start dating in a couple of months I'm killing him" I said

"You see that's what I'm talking about your toxic Roddy and I just can't deal. I can't be stressed over you" she said sitting down on the couch

"I'll do better" I said sitting next to her

"You always say that"

"Look at me can't you see I'm dead ass" I said and we held eye contact

"I feel like this is too much. I want you to get better for yourself not because you're trying to prove something to me" she said getting up and I grabbed her pulling her down on my lap.

"Dee" I said

"Roddy" she said looking at me

"Dee please don't leave me. I'm getting better for me"

"I think we should just take a break from each other"

"I don't need no fucking break" I said

"Well I do"

"For what? What the fuck your gon do on this break?" I questioned

"I just have a lot of shit to figure out"

"What's there to figure out? You don't need a break to figure things out"

"I'M SCARED!" She yelled

"I'm scared okay. I'm scared of you every time you get mad you scare me and seeing what you did to JonJon scared the hell out of me because what if I get you mad enough and you hit me. He was going to press charges but I talked him out of it. You beat him up really bad he had to get stitches and I can't be with someone who does not know how to control their anger because eventually you'll loose your top on me" she cried

"I don't want to be loved like this and I just feel like I need to re-evaluate everything" she said as hot tears continued to stream down her face making me feel bad.

"I would never hit you and that's on everything I love. That's on you" I said

"You say that now bu-"

"But nothing. I Roddy, Roderick, Roddy Richh whatever the fuck you want to call me will never put my hands on another female. I mean I know sometimes I choke you and shit but I don't do it to where you bout to die or gasping for air and you like that shit anyway" I said

"I just have a lot to think about" she said

"I don't want you to move tho. You're dead ass my best friend I need you here and I'm barely here as it is I need someone to watch the crib. If you really want a break then we can do that. We can be friends and roommates"

"Most of my stuff is alrea-"

"I'll have some people get your shit back here" I said cutting her off

"Okay" she said getting off my lap

"I'll sleep in the guest room" she said

"Nah you don't have to I will"

"No I want too"

"Alright" I said not wanting this to become a stupid argument.

"You know my birthday in three days right"

"Yeah I'm sorry all this had to happen" she said

"I'm sorry too. I really wanted to spend it with just you but that's cool too" I said making a mental note in my head to cancel some shit.

"Roddy your making me feel bad"

"Shorty I mean Dee I said it's cool but you know what made me feel bad?" I questioned

"What?"

"I was in jail for a fucking week. Why ain't you answer my calls or my texts or at least try to check on me?" I said eyeing her and she she
avoided eye contact looking everywhere but at me so I grabbed her face lightly making her face me.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you. You know how I feel about that" I said letting her face go

"Sorry I was just dealing with a lot I was in the hospital trying to talk JonJon out of pressing charges so that you can go free and I was honestly not on my phone at all cause some people recorded the fight and it was just all over social media and people kept on messaging me and stuff so I put my phone on do not disturb" she said

"Yeah my manager told me about that shit but you do know you got your read receipts on right. You just read my shit and ain't respond." I said

"I was going to but I knew we would have to talk about it face to face and that it's better to talk about it face to face like we are now" she said and I nodded accepting her answer.

"You sleeping here tonight?" I questioned

"You want me too?" She questioned but it came out more of a statement

"Yeah" I said

"Everything is good now. We're good now" she said

"Yeah we cool friend" I said and she slightly smiled

"I'ma shower and stuff" she said getting up and I sized her up before she left and I laid on my couch and watched family guy until I fell asleep.

I woke up in the middle of the night and I got up and went into the guest room Dee was sleeping in and I climbed in laying next to her and I wrapped my arms around her.

"Roddy" she said sleepily

"Shhh go back to sleep" I said and she went back to sleep and I did too.
