~Lalin's Cursed?~"I guess I have no choice. Let's see what dumb things they say this time." Felix rolled his eyes and nudged me.
"It's not dumb!" David shouted from across the room.
"Be more open minded Felix." I stuck my tongue out at him giggling.
David grabbed the TV remote and jumped onto his beanbag with a loud 'poof'. He quickly adjusted himself and turned on the TV. I could barely make out what channel was on the screen since he was clicking through them so fast.
"There!" David exclaimed and threw the remote up onto his bed. Felix and I met eyes, containing our laughter.
"Welcome to the mystery ship!" A man in a suit greeted us. He was the host of the show so he was always first on screen. "One of Cuarta Dimension's biggest passions is to explore the various magical places our beautiful Spain has to offer."
"Today we'll take a look at one of them with the help of our reporter, who just had a mystifying experience." The host moved to the right revealing a set of chairs, a blonde lady sitting in one of the them.
The camera zoomed in on her. She was pretty, looking to be around her mid twenties. She had big blue eyes and a pretty smile. The only flaw on her face was a small bandage on the left side of her forehead.
Felix whistled whistled softly and I turned to glare.
"Please welcome Monica to the mystery ship!" The host greeted her.
"Hello Iker, a pleasure to be here. Yes, just a few days ago, I went to a particularly mysterious town. On the surface it seemed pretty normal." She smiled at the camera then her expression suddenly darkened. "But when I started to dig deeper, I found that that was far from the truth. I discovered tales of curses and murderous demons."
"Wow!" David gasped. Coco curled into a ball next to David, beginning to drift asleep. Felix looked about ready to do the same.
"This place I speak of is located in northern Spain, a little town by the name of Lalin."
"Our town?!" David screeched. Felix's drooping eyes shot open.
"I'm sure it's nothing David." He attempted to sooth David's nerves.
"I first found out about Lalin when I saw news of a murder that occurred there a few weeks ago. I didn't think much of it until they interviewed the witness." I covered my mouth vividly remembering when I'd first heard about the murder. How could something like that happen? In a town as small as ours?
She continued. "That summer night the witness went into Lalin's woods with a friend, but like a scene out of a horror movie, someone or something attacked them. The witness described a small blood soaked figure with red eyes, horns and a tail. She claimed she'd stood face to face with a demon." Felix, David and I sat in complete silence, still in shock by the fact she was speaking of our town. Our quaint little twin where nothing ever happened, good or bad.
"A demon? Interesting." The host of the show rubbed his chin. "And this isn't the only thing that happened there, right?"
"The strange murder isn't the only case of mystery and paranormal phenomena occurring there. Some even say all of Lalin is cursed."
"What...?" David mumbled. "Cursed? That's insane! Paranormal activity near us... what could it be?"
"I've never heard anything about Lalin being cursed." I picked at a loose string of my friendship bracelet. David had made friendship bracelets for us years ago and all three of us wore them wherever we went. The reporter, Monica continued speaking in the background of our conversation.
