~Best Girl~
Felix offered to walk me home from school after our "date" was postponed. I, of course, agreed.
"You can actally hang out at my house. If you don't mind." Felix offered after we passed his house.
"That's fine." I shrugged. We turned back around kicking up mud on the dirt pathway. "Hey!" I jumped back laughing as Felix kicked more mud at me.
"What?" He questioned innocently and stomped his foot extra hard into a big puddle. I held my arms up in front of my face but that didn't help my poor Filas that were now covered in mud. (Hehe sorry I had too @SakuraFeathers)
"Felix!" I groaned pouting.
"Oh come on, you ruined them earlier today."
"No, you ruined them. I didn't have to step on the cockroach you could have just manned up." I cocked an eyebrow. Felix awkwardly chuckled.
"Sorry?"
"It's ok." I sighed, still slightly annoyed. Felix and I bumped our fists together in a mutual apology. "I'm sure I can clean them with something."
"I'll help."
"The fuck you will!" I chuckled and elbowed him. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and texted my dad letting him know I was going to hang out at Felix's for a while. Felix grabbed his house key from his pocket and unlocked his door. I stepped inside my eyes still on my phone and kicked off my muddy shoes.
"Do you have something to clean them with?" I shoved my phone back in my pocket. Felix glanced around his living room for something.
"Um...Hang on!" He held up a finger and took off down the hallway. I smiled and followed him into the hallway leading to his bedroom. He was digging in the storage closet next to his door. "Here!" He pulled out a bottle of stain remover and an old toothbrush.
"Isn't that my toothbrush?" I furrowed my eyebrows recognizing the toothbrush I kept here for when I slept over.
"Does it matter?" Felix waved the toothbrush around and headed into his bedroom. I scoffed and rolled my eyes dramatically sprinting back into the kitchen to get my shoes. When I entered Felix's room he'd already laid out a mat to clean my shoes on.
"I spray, you scrub." I chucked the toothbrush at him and picked up the spray bottle with an exaggerated smile. After half an hour of scrubbing my shoes, they were looking a lot cleaner. Felix stood up, suddenly looking out his bedroom window. He sighed and sprinted out to the storage closet to grab a broom.
"What?" I followed him to the front door and slipped on a pair of his slides that we're way too big for me.
"Son of a bitch!" Felix screamed and ran out into his front yard. I stood still confused then saw the culprit of Felix's anger. A cat was chewing on a crow's wing. He chased the cat away with the broom shouting. I checked my phone. David said he'd meet us at Felix's before we went on our investigation tonight.
"(Y/N)!" I snapped my eyes up from my phone and glanced around spotting David and his dog Coco standing on the pathway leading up to Felix's door.
"Hey!" I jumped down the steps and ran over to David.
"Nice shoes." He giggled. I sighed.
"Felix got my Filas all muddy so we've been cleaning them." David hummed and nodded.
"So what's he doing?" I shrugged and grabbed David's wrist pulling him with me to question Felix.
"Damn it..." Felix groaned his back to us.
