Volleyball's a bitch oh ma god I'm so sore...

~Felix's Plan~

"Keep it together and follow my lead." Felix furrowed his brows as we approached the police station. "My dad should be on his way." Felix shoved his hand in his jacket pocket, his grip tightening around the knife.

"Got it." I nodded trying to be as serious as him. This was serious. David's who knows where and we're just sitting ducks. He parked his bike by the entrance, helping me off after.

The door chimed as we entered the lobby still hand in hand. Some people took note of my sloppy splint and some took more interest in how serious we looked. "Felix? (Y/N)?" Tobi's mom rushed to both of us seeing us enter. "What's wrong?"

"There's been a kidnapping. We're witnesses." Felix kept his confidence.

"Come with me." Mrs. Castro led us to the back of the police station. People watched, they always do, but it was because we were kids. Two scared kids faking their confidence until they made it. Felix's hand was sweatier than it'd been before. "What happened to your arm?"

"It's not important," I mumbled.

She sighed. "Chief!"

"What now?" A gruff man in his late thirties early forties emerged from an office. It was him. The man who'd nearly run David over. I stepped halfway behind Felix squeezing his hand hard. My stomach knotted. He's gonna recognize me. He's gonna recognize me.

"There's an emergency, another kid disappeared." Tobi's mom gestured to Felix and me. "But this time there were a few witnesses." Felix pulled me out from behind him, his face gravely serious. The chief looked me up and down realization crossing his face. "They said they saw the kidnappers."

We were led into the chief's office where Mrs. Castro pulled up chairs and we situated ourselves across from the man. Follow Felix's lead, I reminded myself. He was mad, his aura intimidating. He'd dropped my hand to cross his arms over his chest. The chief was the first to speak. "So...you called at 10:27 am right?"

"How am I supposed to know the exact time?" Felix threw back, his eyebrows drawing closer together. "That's your job!" He punctuated his words with his fist, slamming it on the desk before him. "But you guys hung up!" I bit my lip unsure of when I should jump in. "Now my friend is who knows where my other friend has a broken arm..." He jerked my arm in a makeshift splint upwards. "And I got injected with some drug! I could've died!"

I scooched forward on my chair, my voice slightly quieter than Felix's. "All three of us could have died!"

"I don't think that's any way to speak to the police..." The man scoffed, turning his head up.

"Try to stay calm." Tobi's mom smiled.

"How are we supposed to calm down?!" I shot up out of my seat and slammed my hand on the desk. "David is missing!"

"I'm deeply sorry, we had a light problem before and that's probably why the call was cut." The man shrugged. I fell back against my seat, my face flushing after my boldness.

"What a coincidence..." Felix rolled his eyes. "The light goes out right when we call."

"Unfortunately, yes." The scruffy chief nodded tight-lipped.

Mrs. Castro, or should I say, Officer Castro? Rounded the desk to stand between us, placing a hand on each of our shoulders. "Let's just calm down. We'll find David. I'll make sure of it."

"Before we start I need both of your names and IDs."

"Felix Lopez Dorado, 536885543D." The chief clicked away at his keyboard taken aback by something on his screen. "What?" Felix deadpanned.

"Nothing." The chief looked at me.

"(Y/N) (M/N) (L/N), 54597631A." I gulped. My mom was probably on there. Before we could continue the interview the door to the office flew open. I spun around in my chair to see four men, all out of breath. "Dad!" I smiled.

Felix and I's fathers ran over, tackling us in bear hugs. I buried my face in my dad's big coat taking in his usual smell. "I'm so happy to see you, kid." I winced, wiggling my gauze covered arm out of his grip. "Your arm!"

"I'm okay, dad. I couldn't leave Felix alone." I turned towards Felix giving him a smile. "You left work for me."

"Of course I did!" He exclaimed, shaking my shoulders. "When I get a call from Julen saying that you and Felix were almost kidnapped. I'm gonna leave work."

David's dad rushed to the chief's desk his hands balled into fists. "Where is my son?!"

"We'll start searching as soon as we can. Calm down..." The chief sighed placing a hand against his forehead at the sudden influx of people.

"How can I stay calm? My son is in danger!" Mr. Martinez blubbered.

Tobi's mom rushed to her son's side grabbing him by his shoulders. "I called to tell you. Not for you to come."

"I shouldn't have left him alone but I had to work." Mr. Martinez sighed, dragging a hand down his face. So much was going on. "God, it's all my fault! What will my wife say!"

"When will you start searching?" My dad chimed in.

"We have to start now." Mrs. Castro wrapped an arm around her son.

Tobi rubbed his neck. "I hope David is okay..."

"Alright! That's enough! Everyone except for the missing child's dad, get out!" He boomed.

I followed my dad out the door, quickly joining Tobi and Felix as our parents chatted about the disappearance. "We need to do something..." Felix paced, rubbing his chin.

"Your arm!" Tobi's eyes widened.

"Meh," I mumbled feeling a sense of pride and looked back at the police station. "I don't like that chief."

"Me neither." Felix joined us again.

"He was the one that hit David with his car," I told Tobi.

"Hit with his car?!" Felix exclaimed.

Tobi chuckled. "Uh...you missed some stuff. Everything will be fine, my mom is going to do everything she can."

"I don't doubt that." Felix tilted his head to the side. "But her best might not be enough."

"What are you thinking?" I raised a brow. Felix discreetly reached for my hand.

"We're gonna search ourselves."

"What..." Tobi questioned, his eyes dropping to our hands. I bit my lip, my cheeks going pink, and looked off into the distance.

"What?" Felix prodded stepping in front of me. "Ya' got a problem."

"No! No!" Tobi burst into laughter.

"Shut the hell up!" Felix's voice cracked, his face blooming red.

"Anyway..." Tobi drew out. "We can't just go off on our own. (Y/N)'s in no condition to fight and the murderer in the woods could have been the one that took off with him!"

"I don't care! I'm prepared!" Felix whipped his pocket knife out with his free hand.

Tobi's eyes went wide. "A knife?! Gimme that! It's not safe!"

"Shut up! We're going!" Felix jerked the knife away from Tobi's reach, his back bumping into me. I giggled wrapping my arms around Felix's tummy and squished my face against his broad back. This felt nice. It gave us a moment to get David's disappearance out of our head. Just the feeling of Felix in my arms made me feel better.
