Chapter 4: Amelia

Resort Island, Sark Dimension
Sonic had been running for quite some time, but had found no signs of life on the island.
The sun was beginning to set as the sphere in the sky was reflecting off the water, creating a breathtaking sight. The hedgehog decided to rest under a palmtree.
"I've been searching for hours, but there's no signs of life around here. This place must be deserted." Sonic said.
Then, he heard a scream.
"Then again, maybe not." He then said as he took off toward the scream's location.
When he reached the location, he saw a young pink hedgehog surrounded by a mob of Flickies, but they weren't your regular Flickies that are sweet and loveable. No, these flickies had Sark's black and red eyes, along with some blood splattered on their fur. Sonic's heart broke at the sight, but another reality hit him: Was he in Sark's world?
Sonic took a deep breath.
"Sorry, little guys." The Blue Blur began to attack the animals until they eventually fled.
"Hey, are you ok?" Sonic asked the girl.
The girl looked at Sonic and screamed.
"Please, show mercy!" She pleaded, hiding her face.
"Whoa, I'm not going to hurt you, I promise." Sonic told her.
"That's what you told my friends before you killed them!"
"But I'm not who you think I am, I promise. I'm not going to hurt you, let alone kill you. I'm not Sark. I promise you that I'm not. He sent me here after killing a friend of mine." Sonic explained.
"W-wait, what?" The girl looked up at Sonic after uncovering her face.
She looked exactly like Amy when she was younger except her quills were flipped upwards. She was also wearing a white T-shirt which had a red heart in the middle, along with a green skirt and white trainer shoes.
"So, you're a Sonic from another world?"
Sonic nodded.
"That's right. Do you know any way I can get back home to my world?" He asked.
"Sorry, I don't directly know how, but I may know someone we can ask, but it'll be a risk since he's like Sark, too, only he's not as evil." The girl said.
"I'm willing to take the chance. What's your name?"
"It was Amy, but I go by Amelia now." Amelia said.
"Oh, well thanks for the help. See ya!"
"Wait!" Amelia called out.
Sonic froze.
"What's the matter?"
"Don't leave alone out here. This world is very dangerous! There's someone or something trying to kill you at every corner. Plus, you don't know where to go and I do, so I need to go with you. Please?" Amelia pleaded.
"Sure, why not? You can show me where to go, and I'll protect you." Sonic said, flashing his cocky grin.
"It's a deal then. Now, where we need to go is actually not far from here. It's in a cave about 2 miles from here." Amelia said.
"Well, let's get moving then. Hop on and hold on." Sonic told her as he took off in a blue blur.
