Christmas Eve was here and what was Maya doing?
Sitting at home looking at an engagement ring.
She couldn't believe what she was holding in her hands nor what she had just heard.
She sigh as she hears the door bell and immediately sees Josh.
"First of all, lock your door. You're in New York now. Second of all, why are you not at the dinner?" Josh asked and saw Maya had a box in her hand.
"Brooke came to see me. Why is she under the expression that you left her to fly to Vancouver to propose to me?" Maya asked as she handed Josh the box.
"Because maybe I was. Me and Riley were on our way to the airport when the accident happened," Josh said and Maya ran her hand through her hair.
"Listen, Maya. I can..."
"Do you know what it is like when your crush's ex fiancé comes knocking on your door telling you her ex left her because he wanted to propose to you? What on earth were you thinking?" Maya asked.
"That I wanted to be with you," Josh said.
"At what expense? How am I supposed to... Who knows?" Maya asked.
"Just Rucas," Josh said and Maya exhaled.
