I reach for my swords and as I unsheath them, a female demon with short hair grins at me with a laugh. "Found you!"
She tosses a ball into the hole in the wall again and it goes on a destructive path once more, this time taking the head off of Yushiro.
"Yushiro!" I shout as I take a step in front of Tamayo, who cradles his body close.
"Nezuko.. Get the conconcious woman out of here!" Tanjirou said as he stands next to me.
The demon lets out a loud giggle, "I killed someone! Hm? The demon hunter with the earrings.. And the girl with demon eyes.."
"Tamayo.. Please take Yushiro and get out of here while you can." I whispered to her.
"Don't mind us. We will be fine without your protection." She reassured us softly.
I nod in response as another ball in hurled towards us. Tanjirou manages to stop it momentarily.
That's when I feel it. There is another demon outside. "Tanjirou.. Can you manage this in here?"
He nods, "yes, I think so. Why?"
"I'm going to make it easier on you." I retort. "Tamayo. If necessary, can you resist marechi blood?"
"Yes.. I can." She said softly. "Be careful, (y/n)."
"I'll try." I said as I avoided a tamari ball. I slide through another hole in the wall and climb up into a near by tree.
"Gotcha!" I said as I dove towards a male demon in another tree just as Nezuko kicks his legs out from under him.
Nezuko is immediately launched back towards the house and luckily right into Tanjirou's arms.
"Stop kicking up so much dust." The arrow-demon cursed.
"And if I don't?" I challenge as I regain my footing on the ground.
"Then you die quicker." He said calmly, easily messing up Tanjirou's sudden attempted attack, and then pummeling him with his semi-invisble arrows. I wish I knew why I could see them, but at this point I don't care. As long as it helps me win, that's all that matters.
"Tell me, why don't you attack me instead?" I press as my grip tightens around the hilts of my swords.
"I don't want an easy win." He said as he sent an arrow towards me.
Easy win? Easy win?! I raise a sword calmly and slice the arrow in two. "You're weak. Do you want to finish this or shall i?" I asked Tanjirou.
"I can handle it here. Go take care of the tamari girl!" Tanjirou said as he is swept off his feet once again.
"If you say so." I snorted as I narrowly dodge a tamari ball. I dive through the air and as the female demon appears to be torn apart, i deal the final blow and remove her head.
"Don't breath in Tamayo-san's technique! Its harmful to humans!" Yushiro curses as he covers Tanjirou's mouth with a handkerchief.
I raise my eyebrow, "really? I feel fine."
Tamayo smiles at me, a knowing glint in her eyes. "I know." She turns back to body and frowns, "I'm afraid this wasn't one of the 12 demon moons. There wasn't a number carved on her eyeball."
I narrow my eyes at the corpse and turn to walk away.
"Ubuyashiki? Where are you going?" Tanjirou asked from his position in the dirt.
"To think. Leave me alone." I retort and make my way back to the tree where the arrow demon was.
Its nearly dawn. I can see the sky grow lighter on the horizon and the city lights growing dim. Its quiet.
"(Y/n)!"
I look up to see my crow flying towards me. "Kazumi? Are you okay?"
He flutters down onto my outstretched arm and I unfasten a piece of paper from his ankle.

'You better not be dead. You hear me?! -S.S.'

I chuckle lightly to myself, "Sanemi, you big jerk.."
And I flip over the paper, to see a message from Kagaya.

'We miss you. Research 'breath of the moon' when possible. I will send a scroll as soon as I can.' -K

Breath of the Moon, huh? I raise my eyebrow, "weird.. But if he wants me to I guess. I've never heard of it before, so this should be.. Interesting."
"Yes." Kazumi responds with ruffed feathers.
"Are you okay?" I ask as I slip him a berry from the tree.
He stretches out his wings and shutters as he eats the berry. "Worried for you."
"Aw, buddy.. I'll be okay!" I reassure with a grin as I scratch his chin.
He nibbles my hair fondly before flying off as the sunrise.

"South south east! South south east! South south east! The next location is south south east!" Tanjirou's crow screamed out loudly.
I pull my hands over my ears, "shut up we get it!"
"Please! I beg you! I beg you! Please marry me!"
I narrow my eyes and groan loudly. "Oh you got to be fucking kidding me. Not this jackass.."
There stands an unfortunate girl my age, and holding onto her Kimono, is that boy from the Final Selection. That coward, Zenitsu.
His poor sparrow flies towards Tanjirou and starts chirping loudly, that's when i make my move. I walk right up to them and I kick Zenitsu away from her and back into the dirt. "Stop harassing people you fucking fuck!"
He yelps as he turns to fall right into Tanjirou's waiting arm. "What the hell are you doing in the middle ofthe road!? Can't you see the woman doesn't want this?! And you're bothering the sparrow too!"
Zenitsu and Tanjirou begin screaming at eachother and I turn to the girl. "Are you alright?"
She turns away in shame, "no! He's harassing me!"
"Alright. Then you should probably start heading back home. Go relax and calm down." I suggest with a disgusted glance towards Zenitsu.
She bows her head, "thank you very much!"
"Hey! She still needs to marry me! She likes me!" The blonde shouts out.
The girl slaps him across the face, "shame on you!" And then proceeds to slap the hell out of him.
As Tanjirou tries to stop it, I block him with my arm. "Nah, this is just getting good!"
He huffs at me before brushing past and pulling her away from him. "Calm down for a moment!"
"When did I ever say i liked you?!" The girl wailed. "I only talked to you because I thought you were sick while you were squatting on the side of the road!"
"Doesn't that mean that you talked to me because you're worried about me because you like me?" He sobbed hopefully.
"That's completely impossible! I have a fiance already!" She shot him down immediately. "I see that you're really energetic already, so you should be fine. Let's never see eachother again!"
The girl slapped him again before walking off and I doubled over in laughter. Luckily my laughter drowned out their yelling completely, but when i finally stopped i heard Tanjirou's crow.
"Caw!! Hurry up! Hurry up! Tanjirou! Zenitsu! (Y/n)! Start running! The three of you will move on to the next location!"
"Aah! The crow's talking!!" Zenitsu wailed.
Kazumi fluttered down to my shoulder and nibbled my hair. "(Y/n), stay with them. Keep them alive. Official orders."
I groan under my breath, "God.. Fine."
He ruffled his feathers and turned to me again, "follow me! Follow me!"
"Idiots! Let's go before Kazumi leaves us behind!" I shout at them as I begin to walk away.
