I didn't even realize thst I'd fallen asleep until I heard someone knocking lightly on the door. I stood up and slid the door open to reveal Muichirou. "Hm? What's up? What do you need?" I asked him as I yawned.
He shrugged, "can i come in?"
I stepped aside and he walked in, immediately stepping over to pinch Tanjirou's nose. While they spoke, Nezuko ran towards me. I subtly moved her behind me, ".. You feel that too, huh? Somethings off.."
She nodded and blinked up at me with widened eyes.
"I can't tell what it is though.. My senses are all jammed.. Bring me my weapons okay?" I mumbled.
She did what was asked and not a moment too soon. The door is pushed open and a crying demon is crawling inside.
I was the first to shift into a fighting position. "Boys.. Stay on your toes. He's an upper moon." As if I had known forever, I know his entire deal from Muzan's memory. He can run, but because of our blood connection, he can't hide anything from me. "He won't die in this form, there's a catch."
"How do you know?" Tanjirou asked as he pulled a defensive stance. What was to be his blade was ready to use, and he held onto it tightly.
"I just know!" I snapped harshly. Muichirou dove forward and tried to attack, the room filling with mist. But the demon dodged and clung to the roof with a panicked scream. "Stop it! Don't bully me!!"
Tanjirou was the next to attack, followed shortly behind by Nezuko, who transformed and kicked him harshly. "Nezuko! Don't transform here!" Tanjirou warned.
The demons head was removed swiftly by Muichirou. "Don't lose focus! This isn't over yet!"
The demon broke off into two separate people and I sprung into action. "I'll take care of this one!"
He swung a leaf shaped fan at Muichirou, sending the boy flying through the building. I withstand the wind, and maintained eye contact with him as I stood my ground. "Muichirou!" I shouted over my shoulder. "If you die, I'm gonna kick your ass, you hear me?!"
I couldn't hear Tanjirou through the wind, but i knew he was shouting something.
As soon as the wind stopped, the two demons stared at me calmly. "Sekido, you look like you're having a good time. You just took that little bean and threw him all the way out." The one with the smile said. "And what do you make of Muzan's girl? She seems pretty strong~!"
Sekido looked furious as he mocked the others singsong tone, "she's pissing me off~ And you're pissing me off too, Karaku!"
"Oh- Kay. Then its a good thing we're apart then!" Karaku stuck out his tongue with a grin.
I bared my swords and narrow my eyes, "Upper Moon 4.. This is gonna be fun."
Karaku raised an eyebrow but his smile remained. "Oh? Sekido.. Do the thing."
"Fuck it, fine!" The demon tapped the floor with his staff, and it immediately electrified the floor.
I glanced back at Tanjirou, who looks like he may pass out. But for some reason, the electricity isn't effecting me as badly as it's hurting him. My legs are shaking, but I can still stand, and I feel wide awake. That's when I look to the roof. Genya stands with a gun at the ready. He looks more calm then I've ever seen him.
He fires and it takes off the heads of the demons easily.
"Oooooh, dude.." Karaku said before grinning excitedly. "This is fun! This is awesome! I've never felt that one before!"
Genya jumps down and tries to cut up Karaku with a nichirin blade. My eyes widen as I realize the powers of demon we're dealing with. I glance over to Tanjirou and he catches my drift. "Genya! No matter how strong your weapons are, you can't beat them that way!!"
"The fuck do you mean?" He asked, eyes widening.
"If you slice them, they'll just split up." I hissed, shaking the blood back to my legs. "They rejuvenate and get stronger. They let you cut them up on purpose!"
"Then how do we kill them?!" Tanjirou asked as he held onto his sword tightly.
"Give me a fucking minute to pull the answer from my ass for ya!" I snapped. These demons don't care if you can cut their heads off. So their weak point isn't their neck like most demons. The bodies have split into four seperate beings and rage fills my being. Very funny, Muzan. Very funny.
Tanjirou yelps as a winged demon takes him into the sky.
"Nezuko, go help him! I'll back up Genya!" I shouted as I charged forwards towards the boy. Just in time to see another demon stab him with a spear. "Genya!!!" Tanjirou is launched out into the woods as well and pursued by the winged demon. "Nezuko!"
She turns to me in a panic.
"Transform and handle things here! I'll go after Tanjirou." I shouted as I brushed past her. "You got this!"
I jumped from the building and ignored the jolt of pain that rushed up my legs as I ran into the woods.
