"Your mother has a depression." sabi ng doktor sa akin habang malungkot na nakatingin sa akin.

Malalim akong napabuntong hininga. That's why she committed suicide.

"I gave her antidepressants for now and I will going to conduct some tests and therapy for her. Mr. Sandoval, depression is not a joke. Help her to heal." paliwanag sa akin ng doktor.

"Doc, how can I help her to get better?" nag-aalala na tanong ko.

I don't want to see her in that state again. She's barely breathing. Kahit na iniwan niya kami ni Dad dati. I still love her because she's our mom. She's the one who gave me a chance to live in this world.

"Strong social contract with some people can reduce her isolation. Keep in regular contact with your mom. Always talk to her to help her feel better. Don't give her stress and help her to convince herself to do the treatments of her free will." Payo niya sa akin.

Marahan akong tumango sa kaniya.

"Okay, Doc. I will keep that in mind." marahan akong napabuntong hininga.

I hope she becomes better soon.

"Mom, where's Hyron? I never see him visit you" I asked her when I noticed that he was not even visiting her.

It's been one month but I still don't know what he's doing right now to keep himself busy.

"He's just busy with his business. Huwag mo ng kaisipin pa ang kapatid mo." sabi niya sa akin habang nakatingin sa malayo.

I sighed hard when I heard that. It's the same thing that she said when I asked her that last week.

"He supposed to be here, even in just a minute. Wala ba siyang pakialam sayo?" naiinis kong sabi.

Business can wait but family is much more important. I also have something to do pero inuuna ko ang ina ko.

I still have to talk to Hera but I can't do that because I'm stuck here with my Mom.

"He's calling me, and asking me if I'm fine." sabi niya.

Inis akong napahilamos sa mukha dahil sa sobrang inis.

"It's not enough mom." may inis sa boses na sabi ko.

"Why? For me it's enough." Sabi niya habang tinitingnan ako ng seryoso.

"Dapat bisitahin ka naman niya kahit ilang araw lang." mahinang sabi ko pero may diin.

Kung nag-aalala siya dapat kahit konting oras bisitahin niya si Mom.

"Why do you keep on pushing him to go here?" nagtataka na tanong niya sa akin.

"Para mabantayan ay maalagaan ka niya." may diin na sabi ko.

Kahit isang araw lang. Kung pupunta siya dito ay may makakatuwang ako sa pagbabantay sa aming ina. Then I will going to go home in the Philippines and talk to Hera. Ipapaliwanag ko ang side ko at aayusin ang tungkol sa aming dalawa.

But Hyron is not coming here. How can I left my Mom if no one's were going to take care of her. Ayaw niya naman sa iba magpa-alaga at nagwawala siya.

Damn, what can I do?

"You are enough for me. Nandito ka naman at inaalagaan ako." mahina niyang sabi habang kumakain ng ubas.

"I know that mom but I'm sorry to say this... But i also have a responsibility." mahina kong sabi sa kaniya.

Nakita kong kumunot ang noo niya habang tinitingnan ako.

"Who's more important? Me or your business?" mataray na sabi niya.
