"Final Trial"

(Where Just gonna skip to the part where dahlia is called on the stand, but this is where phoenix and mia speak in the lobby before they go in)

'how do you feel?'

phoenix asked her, mia chuckled as he looked at him, worried 

'i should be asking you'

phoenix shrugged

'..i told you mia, ..i never loved her, ..hell, when i first dated her i didn't like her, ..i just did it out of loneliness, ..stupid of me i know'

'...phoenix'

'yeah?'

'did you not leave because you knew she was bad but though you, ...deserved it'

phoenix sighed as he nodded

'yeah, ..that's why i stayed, ..poor guy tried to warn me too, ..he was a good guy'

mia smiled sadly at him as the two made their way inside, phoenix gave mia a thumbs up, showing her he was their for her, it was funny how mia now needed the support. dahlia came out, everyone except for the two fell for her beauty and charms, but phoenix saw right through her and glared into her soul

the trial lasted for so long, and for a while, dahlia was keeping up her cute innocent little act, phoenix kept giving mia a small glace with his eyes, sedning her singles that she was doing okay, and that to not give up, while glaring daggers at his ex-lover, how long it took, they didn't know, it felt likes years to them, until finally, she cracked

'... ...Grr... Nngghh... Hnnn... MIA FEY...! MIA... FEYYYY...!! Do. You. Think. You've. Won? Well!? Do you, Mia Fey?'

mia looked surprised by the sudden comment, while phoenix glared at her, getting up form his bench, watching everything closely 

'Heh... Heh... Heh... Heheh... That's. Just. Fine! For the time being... For the time being, victory is yours'

'.."for the time being"

mia asked, while phoenix thought the same thing 

'Well... I have a very long memory, you know. You and I will meet again... I'm certain of it, and wright'

'what!'

he snapped, she smirked and said

'you where a challenge, you didn't fall l for me at first, ..you are broken that's' for sure, ..but, you are fun!'

phoenix chuckled darkly as he retorted back

'you would know what a broken person looks like, let me tell ya something you fucking harlot!, I'm maybe broken, but nobody in this world is as fucked up and shattered as you, ..at least I'm fixable!'

dahlia glared as he snarled back, and with that, the cops took her away, phoenix sighed, he didn't care that much to be honest, if anything he was happy, he was out of an abusive relationship, phoenix was just rolling his eyes at mt Payne sorry excuse to save dahlia, and then laughed when his hair came off

'hmm, ..before i announce my verdict, does the defendant have anything to say?'

phoenix nodded as he spook

'..all i want to say is, ...thank you mis fey, ..for everything you've ever done for me'

mia smiled at his thanks as the judge nodded 

'very well, i shall hand down my verdict, this court finds phoenix wright, "NOT GUILTY" court is adjourned'

cheering and confetti went everywhere as phoenix and mia walked out the lobby together, mia however, noticed how phoenix didn't look as happy as she thought he would

'phoenix, ..what's wrong, your free!'

'...i-i'm'

phoenix stuttered for a bit, he took off his mask as he began to speak 

'..mia, ..i'm so sorry'

'..phoenix?'

'..you did, ..all of this, you put with payne, ..me dahlia, everything, ..just for my sake and freedom, ...how i treated you was wrong'

'oh phoenix you-'

'even with everything that has ever happened, ..that doesn't mean you were the same, ..i'm so sorry mia, ..for being a jackass to you, ..and for making you go through all of this, ...you deserve so much more respect'

mia smiled at him as she shook her head

'..phoenix, ..that's very sweet and thoughtful of you, ..but really, you don't have to apologize, ..you were a huge help during all of this, if it weren't for your bravery and encouragement, i wouldn't have been able to do any of this'

'...mia-'

'phoenix, ..you have suffered enough, ..you are not broken, don't let her get to you, ..your cousin and mother would've been proud of you'

phoenix looked at her, and to her surprise, he, ..smiled at her

'..thanks mia, i really needed that'

'...you know phoenix, ..a smile suits. you'

'...i haven't smiled in years, ..i-i feels nice'

mia gently patted his back, as he awkwardly wrapped an arm around her neck, trying his best to hug her

's-sorry, ...t-this is wired for me'

'it's alright, one step at a time'

she said as she wrapped an arm around him, he shook for a bit, but slowly snuggled into her hug, this was a start to a beautiful friendship
