Phoenix woke up to the sound of his cousins singing, he closed his eyes as he listened closely to her voice as he teared up, it was one of his favourites, he was playing piano in the back while mei singed into the mic, with the beat she made up on her own

After the song, he turned off his phone and took out his headphones, it felt nice to have no nightmares for a change, when he got up to go to the bathroom, he gasped as he saw mei's dead body, he blinked, then he saw nothing, .. but a clean bathroom, he clutched his locket as he started shaking violently, ..after how many years of living with this, ..it still hurt, He stood their as he closed his eyes and faces down at the ground

"It's wasn't real, it, ..wasn't..real....'

He teared as he dripped his now loosen hair, as he started up a shower, he never had a bath since mei's death, that and ...another reason, while he stood in the shower, he took his pocket knife from his drawer and began to slit at his wrists, he made around six-seven in each, he saw the blood in the bathtub, and cringed to himself, memories flooding back to his head, he washed off the blood in the shower until it stopped bleeding

He got out, dressed, put on his fingerless gloves and drove off, he got out of his car and headed to the courthouse, When Phoenix stood at his bench, his heart start to beat faster when he saw edgeworth as he held black a blush, even after almost getting him convicted of murder, he still loved him?!

"Damnit!!, why does he have to be handsome!!"

The judge banged his gavel, and Phoenix got back his focus, he had to move on from edgeworth, ..he didn't care about him anymore, that was proven when he tried to get him guilty in court, ..so he shouldn't care about miles at all, ..but no matter how phoenix tried to tell himself that, ..he couldn't truly hate miles, ..he loved him to much, he saw from the corner of his eyes that miles had sighed sadly to himself before getting his focus on as well

'The court is now in session for the trial of Mr. Will Powers'

'the prosecution is ready to begin your honer'

after saying they were both ready, phoenix saw how miles was looking at him, it was anger with a mix of, ...something, ..he couldn't place it, the judge spoke, cutting him off from his thoughts

'Very well. Mr. Edgeworth, your opening statement, please'

miles nodded as he began

'The prosecution will show the court that at 2:30 PM on October 15, the defendant, Mr. Will Powers, killed fellow actor Jack Hammer at Studio One of Global Studios. It is impossible for anyone else to have committed this heinous crime. The evidence presented during the trial will all point to this fact.'

after he was done explaining, the judge nodded as he thought aloud 

'Hmm. I see. Very well, I would like to move on to your testimony. Mr. Edgeworth, the prosecution may call its first witness'

miles nodded as he spoke up once again

'First, I would like to call a familiar face, Detective Gumshoe, to the stand'

phoenix sighed, him again, great, maya patted his back, encouraging him 

'it's alright nick!, you got this

he grimaced at her as he watched gumshoe make his way on the stand, when he finally arrived on the stand, miles asked him

'Detective, if you would briefly describe this case to the court?'
