"You're safe now, (y/n)-chan~!"

The School Mystery No. 8 opened her eyes slowly and looked up towards her saviour who was hugging her from behind. Tsukasa gave her his signature closed-eyes grin as he looked slightly down at her. He had used his supernatural ability to teleport them to the broadcasting room where Sakura and Natsuhiko are at.

"Thank you for saving me, Tsukasa-san..." (y/n) said with relief, but she couldn't deny that a part of her is filled with regret for wasting herー probablyー only chance to speak with her beloved childhood friend face-to-face.

"No problem! However..." Tsukasa's tone darkened as he said the word. He released his arms from (y/n), turning her around so that she was facing him, and grabbed her shoulders. "It bothers me when you do these things."

(y/n) stared at him with a mix of fear and confusion. She knows how much of a sadist Tsukasa can be if something displeases him, but she also wants to know what he means by 'doing these things'.

"Faltering because of your own wish? We can't have that."

From the corner of her eyes, (y/n) could see Sakura looking at her with pity before exiting the broadcasting room with Natsuhiko trailing behind her, leaving (y/n) alone with Tsukasa.

"Look at me," Tsukasa stared at (y/n) with a cold expression as one of his hands moved from her shoulder to her chin to prevent her from looking away. "Remember, (y/n)-chan? You asked me to grant your wish."

(y/n) gulped. I have a bad feeling about this...

"Now would you kindly remind meー or rather yourselfー what your greatest wish is?"

(y/n) felt a pang of guilt inside her chest as the sentence slipped out of her mouth. She remembered how she had lied to Kou about itー how she told Kou about her greatest wish being 'to say farewell to Teru for the last time'.

"But I didn't become a School Mystery to pursue his love, not anymore. I only became a School Mystery in order to tell him goodbye. For the last time. I'm not going to be selfish. I'm supposed to be dead by now if it weren't for Tsukasa, and it will always be this way. We can't go back to where we used to be, Kou. I want him to keep on living, and let the time we spent together be nothing more than a sweet memory..."

... Is what she had said.

I'm so sorry, Kou, I guess I really am selfish...

"T-To be reunited with Teru Minamoto... for eternity."

"Exactly. And how long do you plan to achieve that if you keep avoiding him and hiding? Even earlier, when I had clearly gone through the trouble to bewitch the student just to help you talk to himー"

"Wait, that was your doing?!" (y/n) cut him off, clearly shocked by Tsukasa's action. Sure, he was a sadist, but he never appealed to her as someone who would interfere with other people's business.

"Well, yeah, of course it was. Who else would be able to do something like that in front of your sanctuary besides me?"

"But... why? I thought you said that you would give me a chance to do it myselfー"

"But you didn't."

She froze.

"Even after I have given you a chance, you wasted it and chose to hide. How pathetic," Tsukasa's face inched closer to her, and his other hand that was on her shoulder earlier moved towards her hair and held a strand of it, making (y/n)'s face tremble in horror.

"I-I wanted to try to have a proper talk with him, Tsukasa-san... I really do... but I can't, because... becauseー"

"Because he's an exorcist?"

(y/n) frowned, her expression becoming more and more tense with every second passing by. "Y-You knew...?"

Tsukasa nodded. "Yeah, of course I do. And now you're telling me that you're afraid? Of him finding out about your existence and exorcising you, that is."

"No, it's not like that..."

... It's more like I don't want to reveal my true identity and make him conflicted...

"And now you're telling me that you're not going to fulfill your wish because of that reason, (y/n)-chan?" Tsukasa didn't seem like he was listening to the (h/c)-haired girl. "That you're happy just by seeing him from afar and playing those pieces on the piano for nothing?"

(y/n) stayed silent, not knowing what to say because honestly, there is a part of her that wants things to be that way.

"You know, (y/n)-chan, I didn't help you grant your wish for nothing. I'm a supernatural after allー I will grant the wish of whoever summons me for the right price."

"The right price...?"

"Indeed. And I'm going to tell you now, the price for me to grant your wish is... Teru Minamoto's future."

(y/n) looked up at Tsukasa who was hovering above her in confusion and uneasiness. "His... future?"

"That's right. You see... the School Mysteries are in danger now that he's in his duty. If I'm not mistaken, it started when Amane met that girlー Nene Yashiro. That is the beginning of the supernatural-related chain of events that led to this. I believe you've seen how terrifying Minamoto is when he fights against supernaturals, haven't you, (y/n)-chan?"

Her mind immediately wandered back to the moment Teru almost exorcised Hanako, and nodded reluctantly.

Tsukasa-san is right. If Kou hadn't stopped him back then, Hanako would've perished right on the spot.

"I know that you have a special connection with Minamoto. That's why, I want you to restrain his future, to protect the existence of supernaturals. And since you're now a supernatural yourself, it would make sense for you to do it for yourself, isn't it?"

But I think there is another way to change Teru's perspective about the supernaturals in the school without restraining his future. I just need to get him...

"So, will you accept my request, (y/n)-chan? Otherwise I'm just going to kill yー"

"Yes, I accept your request, Tsukasa-san. But I would like to do it my way."

A/N : Wattpad is being weird coz when I typed it in docs it says 1045 words but when I copy and pasted it here it says 1018 words. And I just realized how much (y/n)'s personality has changed from the 1st chapter until now and how OOC Tsukasa is in this chapter. But I guess the story still makes sense so I'm just gonna continue ehehe (￣▽￣) Please vote and comment if you like this chapter!
