A/N: OMG I'M SO SORRY FOR THE SUDDEN 2 MONTHS(??) HIATUS!! ONLINE SCHOOL IS KILLING ME WITH ENDLESS ASSIGNMENTS T^T But summer holiday starts this week for me so I'll try to update weekly (maybe twice a week?) if I'm not procrastinating :')) Anyways I decided to put Love's Sorrow as the piece that (y/n) plays, because she loves Teru but she thinks that her love will be forever unrequited (coz she's dead). Also I'm not sure if a classical music piece has a refrain but just pretend that it does〔'∇｀〕Oh and I'll be using some Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso references on this chapter coz I just finished it the other day and the ending hiTs mE hArD ;-;

Just as a reminder, on the ending of the last chapter (y/n) gave Teru a letter as a part of her 'plan' (^∀^) and I suggest playing the song on the media above while reading this chapter :3

(y/n) sat still on her piano bench with her eyes fixed on the clock hanging on the wall in front of her. She waited until the hour hand strikes 4 pm before positioning her fingers on the piano keys.

I really hope this works...

She started the song softly while letting the memories of her past with Teru float to the surface like usual, but there was a hint of anticipation this time as her playing got louder and louder.

Will he come...?

As the song reached its refrain, footsteps could be heard approaching from outside the music room. (y/n) took a deep breath and focused harder on her melody, trying to make each note sound as perfect as possible for the person she loves, even though she didn't know for sure whether the person outside is Teru or someone else.

(y/n) closed her eyes as the piano sound faded into nothing, letting her childhood memories drift back to the deepest part of her mind as she removed her fingers from the piano.

Did my feelings reach him...?

A sudden knock on the door startled her, and her eyes shot open as she turned her head frantically towards the door. She approached the door hesitantly and pressed her ear on the wooden door, trying to pick up any signs of noise that could indicate that the figure on the other side of the door is her beloved.

"I guess I have to go to the student council meeting now, huh... and maybe I'll just have to kick the door open the next time I come here?"

(y/n) felt her heartbeat quicken at the soft mumbling voice of her childhood crush as her body automatically moved towards a letter which she wrote herself for Teru that is placed on top of the piano cover. Her hands trembled as she walked back to the wooden door and knocked it a few times before crouching down to slide the letter through the narrow gap under the door.

I did it... Tsukasa-san. I did it with my own power.

- A few days ago -

"What's with this weird atmosphere? (y/n)-chan, did something happen?"

While Natsuhiko stared at (y/n) in confusion, Sakura was quicker on the uptake. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ears and sat down on her usual chair.

"Is there something you need to discuss with us, Tsukasa-san, (y/n)-san?"

(y/n) nodded, while Tsukasa just stared at her with his usual curiously-innocent face, silently urging her to quickly tell them about her plan to 'win Teru's heart' might be. The School Mystery No. 8, understanding the signal, then proceeds to fill them in on what she's planning while the three members of the broadcasting club listened closely.
