Everyone needs to shut up about my spanish in this chapter. I took asl dudes, I know nothing about spanish and just used google translate. I realize its trash, plz stop correcting me :(

When morning rolled around, Lance and Allura were both exhausted. Lance couldn't sleep and Allura refused to without him. It left both of them completely drained.

Lance headed home after recieving a text from his mother. She had something they needed to talk about, which made his anxiety to sky rocket because nothing they ever had to talk about was good.

Arriving home, he was greeted by his older sister, who still lived at home while going through college. "Where's mama?" He asked, walking in with a yawn.

Veronica had an amuzed smile as she watched him. She had thought he and Allura had probably pulled another all nighter watching all three high school musicals on a loop again. "Kitchen." She said simply as she made her way up the stairs.

He made his way through his house to the kitchen. He could hear voices, two belonging to his parents and another he didn't recoginize. He yawned again as he entered the room. "Mama, what'd you need to talk to me abou-" He cut himself off as he opened his eyes and foudn two people sitting at his kitchen counter.

One of them was a buff looking guy, probably in his twenties. He had black hair, except for the very front, which was pure white.

Sitting next to him was Keith.

"Why're you in my house mullet?" Lance asked, with less malice than Keith had been expecting. The Cuban boy didn't spare him another glance as he made his way around the kitche, grabbing a mug and then pouring coffee.

"Mi hijo, no more caffiene! You have an addiction!" Lance's mother said, an underly tone of teasing in her voice. (Google translate)

"It's to late for me then." Lance deadpanned back, taking a swig of coffee while staring his mother dead in the eyes.

She huffed, muttering something about teenagers under her breath.

"And I ask again," Lance said, turning back to Keith, who was watching the exchange with mild amusement. "Why are you in my house mullet?"

There was a soft thud as Lance's mother smacked his shoulder. "Don't be rude." She scolded.

"Yeah McClain, don't be rude." Keith teased, a smirk on his face.

There was another thud as Shiro smacked the back of Keith's head. "Don't antagonize."

Lance decided to direct his attention back to his mother. "So what'd you need to talk to me about? I assume it has something to do with mu-" he cut himself off at the look he received from his mother, "Keith."

"Coran called about your detention yesterday, which I'm not pleased you didn't tell me about." She started, sending a quick glare at her son.

Lance put his hands up in surrender. "I was going to, but I went straight to Llura's and I forgot to text you!" He said, trying to think of an excuse. She didn't seem to be buying it.

"Anyways, su padre and I have known Shiro for a while now, and we all agree that you and Keith need to get over this petty rivalry you seem to have. It's getting out of hand." She said, crossing her arms over her chest.

Lance glanced at Keith and they made eye contact. They seemed to share a look of 'are they being serious?'

"Which is why you'll be staying with Keith and Shiro while we're out of town."

Chaos ensued.

"No way!"

"Shiro you can't be serious!"

"How can you expect me to live with that- that thing for two weeks?!"

"He put glue in my locker! He's probably gonna do that to my whole room!"

"Quiet!" Lance's mother said, silencing both boys.

"Mama, no puedes hablar en serio!" Lance said, resorting to spanish, not wanting Keith to listen in on his conversation. 'Mom, you can't be serious!'

"Soy un joven muy serio. Ustedes dos deben superarlo antes de que ambos terminen expulsados." She said back sternly. 'I am very much serious young man. You two need to get over yourselves before you both end up expelled.'

"Ahora deja de pelear y escucha a tu madre." Lance's father cut in, noticing that Keith and Shiro were both just sitting at their counter, looking awkward.

Lance huffed, but stopped arguing.

"Tomorrow you'll be going to Shiro's home and staying for two weeks until we get back. If I get word of you two fighting I'm sending you to your abuela and she can deal with you." His mother said, giving him a pointed look.

Lance paled at the threat. His abuela was normally the sweetest woman alive, unless you made her angry or you were Lance and his parents hadn't been able to successfully punish him and keep him out of trouble.

"Okay, okay! No fighting!" Lance said, holding his hands up in surrender.

Keith's eyebrows raised slightly at how easily he had given up. He wanted to meet this abuela person.

"I still have the bruise from when she found out I was failing chemistry." Lance said.

On second thought, maybe Keith didn't.

"I know for a fact you aren't packed yet, so why don't you go do that? Keith can help. Youre father and I need to talk a few things through with Shiro still." Lance's mother said, shooing the two boys out fo the kitchen.

Lance groaned as he made his way through his house, dreading tomorrow. Keith followed silently behind him, not liking their perdicament anymore than Lance, who had just shoved open a door and thrown himself down onto the bed that the room held. Keith stood near the door, leaning back against the wall.

Seconds later, Veronica invited herself into the room. "So I assume mama told you?" She asked, taking note of her sulking brother and the other annoyed looking teen.

"You knew?!" Lance asked, picking his head up.

"Well yeah. Strange people just showed up at our house, I had questions." She said with a shrug.

"Why can't I just stay here with you?" Lance asked.

"I'm not gonna be here. I'm staying with Acxa for the two weeks." Veronica explained, leaning against the door frame on the side furthest from Keith.

"Ugh V, why do you have to stay with your girlfriend?" Lance complained.

Veronica chuckled as she made her way over to her brother. She lightly patted his head while saying, "You'll understand when you get into a relationship."

Then she got closer and whispered, low enough so only he would hear, "Who knows, maybe by the end of these two weeks you'll have a boyfriend."

"V!"
